It's easy to blame one person for all this, but that oversimplifies, and worse, it prevents us from making real fixes to the system.

Once again, you misunderstand. I blame everyone from the President on down for this, including the LEOs who helped guard the murderers while they committed the crime.

And ultimately, the whole country bears the responsibility for remaining criminally and willfully ignorant and complacent.

How incredibly sad. You know, if nothing else, this case may well trigger a change in the laws governing advanced medical directives. Personally, I don't think that Michael Schiavo should have been granted the presumption of authority over Terri's care, when no written medical directive could be found to substantiate his claim that she would have wanted to be allowed to die. Clearly, Terri's life had value. She brought joy to her parents and family. It wasn't right to deprive them of that simple joy.

Have faith, people. The culture of death will not prevail. If anything, Terri will serve as a vivid reminder that things must change.

Michael's time will come. God has a way of making us see the error of our ways. God forgives everything, well, that's true. But He doesn't condone evil. Michael will be faced with what he did and forced to admit his wrongs. Hopefully, it won't be someone he cares about...in a condition similar to Terri's. Hopefully, it will be Michael, himself, with the second wife taking out lots and lots of big insurance policies on his wretched life as he lies there, unable communicate, but understanding what's going on.

No problem at all. That's why GWB complains about the courts, others complain about the courts, this decision is an example of erroneous fact finding by the courts, and you assert there is no problem with the courts.

I assert no such thing, that there is "no problem at all". What I suggest is that in this case, the law was the root problem, not the courts. Change the law, and this won't happen again. But hey, don't listen to me - it's certainly easier to play keyboard warrior and bitch about the imperial courts than it is to do your duty as a citizen and elect legislators who craft laws that produce the outcomes we want.

I'm not interesting in a dialogue with you, but you ought o know that more people than those you are in dialoge with see your arguments as fatally flawed.

Okay. I don't care, but okay.

My cousin told me that the Judge in Florida who ordered the feeding tube removed was a Sunday School Teacher at a baptist chruch in Florida and that the church kicked him out of the church. Anyone else know anything about this angle?

See, I knew we'd eventually find something to agree on. Insofar as someone failed Terri Schiavo, we all did by not electing legislatures who have the spine to stand up and do right. The legislative bodies in this country are next to worthless, and that's pretty much the outcome we've worked for here.

Every single person I talked to today was horrified, saddened, outraged by Terri's death. Nobody thought the govt. should stand by and let the judiciary sanction the death of an innocent and handicapped woman. Where are all those people on that ABC poll who thought she should be put down like an sick dog? I don't think they exist.

Posting a link to Hal Turner's website has no valid excuse. It is a disgusting, vile website. Do you find any irony at all in the notion that if Terri was Jewish, this filth Turner would not have published her picture at all, but would have said about her what he said about Daniel Pearl, which was "who cares about this Jewish vermin's death anyway"?

Now his website is going to get thousands of hits because you didn't consider your actions. Don't you know our enemies watch our posts and our links?

You have brought shame here. I call upon my fellow friends of Israel to ask that this link be removed.

It is also quite possible that MRS will live to be 86, have perfect health, be a popular role model to his children, neighborhood, and county, and become the most popular jail nurse in the USA! I think he will come out of this smelling like the proverbial rose because people are so easily deceived, and for many, their hearts are deceitful.

What I see is a slippery slope turning into a cliff at the end.

First, Roe v Wade gave people the right to kill their children. Bloodlust not satisfied, the death industry seeks to 'broaden' the market. Nobody is safe from these 'ideal society' building Nazis.

Surely it's akin to being flayed alive to watch your child wither away, be denied even the smallest ounce of comforting, palliative care...brushing of her teeth, therapy. And finally food and water. And all this with the sanction of the courts and the connivance of Michael and that death-lover Felos. Unimaginable.

The Calvary Baptist Church of Clearwater pastor, a man named Rice, asked George W. Greer to withdraw from the church because of Greer's murder-order on poor Terri. Greer did so without incident. He was not a Sunday school teacher to my knowledge, and in fact rarely attended the services. Greer seems more in line with Scientology philosophy.

God rest her soul.

May the memory of Terri Schiavo, and what has happened to her, inspire us all to fight to change the system that murdered her.

May she rest in peace.

Your post wasn't off topic in the least. Felos was the perfect lawyer for Michael...he'd clearly done his homework!

Could you please PM me a link to that website? Would it be possible for someone to save that pic and then post it on another site? I would like to see the pic but I can certainly understand FR not wanting to promote that website on these forums.

These people are pure evil; it's why we have the second amendment.
