I'm shocked. I figured it would be in Miami with the Cubans.

An over-interest in a pathology is a pathology in itself.

It would appear to be so.

I don't know...but it is noticably her.

I was told on the other site that someone had managed to sneak a camera phone in and get this pic.

I am just so distraught that she was allowed to be in pain.

If you think dying over 13 days is bad, try living for 15 years in a hospital bed without the ability to interact with your loved ones.

You have absolutely zero understanding of what it would be like for those 15 years since you haven't experienced it. So stop preening and lecturing like you know what you're talking about. You might THINK you wouldn't want to live that way; most leftists, being natural cowards, are downright afraid of something like that so it's understandable. But you should know that not everyone in the world is a leftist or a coward and could perservere through it happening either to them or a loved one. Some people have more determination and will than cowardly leftists.

Hmm, I recall a medical program on cable a while back that showed someone functioning almost normally with half his brain removed. Okay, presumably, this person had at least half his cortex present, but who's to say that with scientific advances coming soon, they wouldn't have been able to regenerate Terri's cortex? Maybe this isn't the forum to mention this, but I was commenting on your note. Sorry if I've upset anyone.

Yes, Dan, in 1954, the late conservative William "Bill" Cramer of St. Petersburg became FL's first Republican congressman since Reconstruction. HE lost the 1970 Senate general election to the late Democrat Lawton Chiles and his House seat was forfeited as well.

Tampa went Democrat for years, but St. Petersburg and Pinellas were heavily Republican. I understand that Albert A. Gore, Jr., who celebrates his 57th birthday today, actually carried Pinellas in 2000. So it is now a liberal but nominally Republican county, with a very corrupt machine. Why the popular former county commissioner and "swamp judge" (as Michael Savage calls him) George W. Greer is the "head" of this machine remains something of a mystery.

Lord. I pray I go before my children. I also pray I have an aneurysm, to save them the gut wrenching decisions they would have to make over my husband and myself.

I've told them all, do a brain scan on me. If my brain is gone, I am gone.

This may be off topic, but IMHO the key to this is Attorney Felos. I just heard him again. Limbaugh describes him as creepy, but he seems to have a mission and a cause. I wonder if anyone has read his 2002 book or knows of his spiritual leanings. He has an uncanny resemblance in his speech and reasoning to some of a "scientific" religious creed.

He is the key to understanding this matter and without more information on him we will never figure out how this happened. Usually, while we may know and identify up to 2500 people, we only interact with 25 at most. This pack who determined the death of this young woman relied on leadership determined by Felos. Know him and you will know the problem.

I agree, just as you have no idea what it would be like and whether death would be a welcomed end or a struggle she fought tooth and nail against. You have as little understanding about Terri's state as I do. That is why the courts were left to decide based on the facts of the case.

Any woman as strong as Terri who suffered for 15 years in the state she was in would have very little trouble dealing with 13 days of starvation/dehydration.

No the law says they can disconnect the feeding tube. The law doesn't say that one can intentionally withhold oral feedings if a person can be orally fed and it sure doesn't say one can take fluids away from someone and dehyrate them to death. It just says that a feeding tube can be removed.

We are talking about Terri, tho, I'm sure that this has happened before and does happen. It doesn't make it right and if they are starving people to death and dehydrating people to death when those people could orally ingest stuff then it's against the law. The conspiracy of silence in this matter has to end and the hoodlums prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as Kevorkian was.

They can legally only remove the feeding tube. I don't believe they should even be able to do that but right now that is the law in Florida for a person with PVS.

And we don't even know that Terri was PVS or if it was a misdiagnosis.

If a person really wants to die, then nothing and no one outside of God is going to make them live. I think Terri has proved that she wanted to live!

It is legal to dehydrate someone to death if they have requested this to be done on their behalf should they fall into a coma or PVS like state in which they are unlikely to ever recover and have stated to be pulled from life support should such a situation such as this occur. Do you really think Terri is the first to die in this manner?

It is NOT legal to dehydrate someone to death in Florida. It is legal to remove their feeding tube ... though it obviously wasn't in this case. The judge's order went beyond removal of the feeding tube to removal of all hydration and nutrition. His barring food and water of any kind was clearly unlawful.

Many disabled people are actually quite contented with the life that God has left them to leave. Some are happier than individuals in good health, presumably such as yourself.

More name calling from a so-called religious person.
This was not your decision to make. It was her husbands decision and was backed by many many years of litigation. I do not support his decision, but it was his to make unless it could be proven in a court of law that he was not a proper guardian.

Fox said a few minutes ago that Michael kicked the parents out when the doctors said Terri was fading fast. There were 'words', but he prevailed, of course. So she spent her last few minutes 'cradled in his arms'. No doubt this was a press release written by Felos and passed out to reporters. Michael comes off as noble, saintly and vilified by those evil Schindlers.
