A spokesman for the family of Terri Schindler Schiavo said Wednesday the Florida judge presiding over her case "ignores the states laws and orders the premeditated killing of a disabled Florida woman by her husband."
Pamela Hennessy, media director for the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, in a press release Wednesday called on disability and eldercare advocates to press for Circuit Judge George Greers "immediate impeachment."
"If there is a single person following this who doesnt believe Judge Greer has legislated from the bench, trampled Floridas laws and deprived Terri Schiavo of her retained rights, they are simply not paying attention," Hennessy said in a statement.
According to the foundations press release, on Tuesday and Wednesday Greer issued three orders that the foundation said all but assures Schiavos death. First, Greer ordered that the family may not introduce oral nutrition and hydration following the removal of Terris gastric feeding tube.
The foundation pointed out that Florida Statute 744.3215 (Rights of Persons Determined Incapacitated) requires that incapacitated people cannot be deprived of food and water.
"Ordering that Terri Schiavo may not receive nutrition or hydration naturally is against the law, in the opinion of the Foundation," it said in a statement.
Second, according to the foundation, Greer ruled that no further neurological tests may be conducted on Terri, using functional MRI to determine if she is in a "persistent vegetative state," as Greer found in 2002, or if Terri is "minimally conscious."
The foundation pointed out that Florida Statute 765.404, which defines persistent vegetative state, requires that the condition be determined and diagnosed as permanent prior to the withdrawal of life-prolonging means. Also, Florida Statute 765.309 prevents mercy killing and assisted suicide.
The foundation said that unless the "true neurological condition of Terri Schiavo" was determined prior to the removal of the feeding tube, Greers order amounts to "a directive for her guardian to commit either a mercy killing or assisted suicide."
And third, "Greer denied an order from a judgment based on his error in dismissing pertinent testimony in 2000 that would assist the court in determining Terri Schiavos true end of life wishes," the foundation added.
It pointed to Florida Statute 765.404, which says that clear and convincing evidence of the wards intent for medical treatment must be established.
"The only evidence in support of removing Terris feeding tube was the self-serving hearsay testimony of her guardian (which is not admissible under FS 90.602) and hearsay from two members of his immediate family," the foundation said.
"Greer systematically ruled that testimony from Terris friends and family was unreliable or not credible. His failure to consider all evidence of Terri Schiavos attitude towards life-prolonging measures, in the Foundations opinion, is a clear violation of Florida Statutes," it concluded.
Correct on all counts. You are saying the Schiavos are a thug clan in Pennsylvania. And that's where Mikey will be FedEx-ing her ashes to to be buried in the family plot
Either their daughter is already "dead" and her body is being euthanized, or their daughter is being murdered. Your choice.
This is better than nothing, but far less than we need.
Frankly, no one knows who Ms. Hennessy is, and no one who isn't already STRONGLY with us will pay attention to what she says.
There is absolutely no substitute to a statement from the Schindlers themselves.
The parents, and if possible Terri's whole immediate family, need to come out THEMSELVES for the impeachment of Judge Greer.
What in the world is that supposed to mean?
Slow down, try that again without emotion.
Murder is always interfered with by our justice system. Except in Pinellas county Florida
Say -- would the fact that the mom and dad must sit in the room with their daughter, whom they beleive wants to live, whom they love -- and be forcibly prevented from giving her dehydrating lips a drop of water -- does that provide addition righteous delight for you?
This time with out emotion. You appear brain dead flower.
I didn't say I agreed with anything. Do not try to attribute things to me that I did not say.
You are trying to make me out to be some sort of monster, but you have no idea of what I think about this situation.
Because I'm not running around posting what I think or feel?
You know nothing about me, but your post is very telling as to what type of person you are.
Trying to upset me or get a rise out of me will not work.
You are wasting your time with me.
This situation is not mine to interfere with.
And foolishly continues to speak.
IMHO, Greer should not be impeached. He should be arrested and tried for murder (attempted at this point). His buddy Michael should be charged with the same.

Then what are you saying? You can't have it all ways at once like some droplet of water dropped on a greased frying pan.
Michael is an evil, warped, sadistic, controlling pansy who is anything but a REAL man.
Agreed. If it were only possible.
Didn't an 11th Cirsuit Appeals just write that too?
Personally, I hope a "nut" gets him!!!!
Murder is murder. You support murdering judges. You should have your food and water taken away for 13 days and see if you (nitwit) can do as well as Terri Schiavo.
