DISGUSTING!!!!
I've read threads supporting Terri for years on this website. Thank you for the support. My oldest son, 11 years old next month, has a very rare degenerative disease. Although normal in infancy he rapidly deteriorated from the ages of 2-5 into a condition similar to Terri. I will not use the term many have used to describe Terri. We talk with him, pray with him, worship with him - and we believe with all of our hearts that he responds to the Lord in ways we can't understand in this life. He is solely fed by tube, and he requires support with o2 and a manual ventilator, an ambu bag to expand his lungs many times a day. He requires many medications for a variety of issues. We treat every infection and crisis.
I've prayed for Terri and her family for years and I cannot comprehend that this day has come. I am absolutely devestated, and I have not grieved so loudly and deeply since my own precious son began to decline. Her life and my son's life are precious. How can anyone dispute that? I can't believe what I'm seeing in my own country that I have loved my whole life... for the overwhelming reaction of the citizens even Christians in our country to support her murder. We've discussed all of the issues - she was not sick, terminally ill nor had a living will document and her "husbands" motives were clearly suspect. However I would even say (and I can't believe how many would disagree with me) that until my son's death is imminent within days or hours, we will do all we can to premote his life. We love him with all of our hearts. Today we care for his body and soul in memory of Terri...
