FREEPERS, APRIL THREAD IS UP... Come on over to the current month.
Laura Ingraham said a hospice treated her mother well, and I'm glad that your father had a good experience with his hospice, but they are not all "angels," as you put it.
Certainly they were not in Woodside, Pinellas County, so I would be very wary of a hospice that was not run by pro-life people.
My sister told me about a friend of hers who was dying of cancer, so my sister and some friends, and a priest got together and prayed for this woman. After the prayer get together, the woman felt better, her spirits were raised, her appetite returned, and she asked her mom to make her a sandwich.
Later a woman from hospice came, and told the woman's mom to leave them alone. When the mother came back into the room, her daughter was depressed again, and soon after died. The hospice woman took away all hope, and I don't understand what's wrong with a little hope to get you through something. Sometimes miracles do happen.

Duh!!!!!!!! I was one of the first ones to call him GOVERNOR GREER. I even called him PRESIDENT GREER. I well understand the situation.
You've been on FR sparingly for awhile FV because of the other important work you've been doing. I suggest you catch up on what people have been saying, before you misrepresent their views. Most people, even the ones outside of Florida, understand the situation extremely well.
How would campaign finance laws stop the truth about Judge Greer (hurting Terri) from coming out? Even the presidential campaign did not withhold any information on both sides, including lies told about Bush on 60 minutes.
I think most of the family advisors worked very hard for Terri, including the attorneys, but I kept seeing things over and over again that hurt the family that kept coming to light without any counter explanation from the family advisors. For instance the ct scan was posted here a few times by a family advisor, but until recently I did not see any articles explaining that Terri's CT scan was bad, but did not mean she was in PVS. That if a doctor was to examine it, he might think it was an senior citizen. To us it looks bad, but to a doctor it wasn't that bad.
ANother thing that was never answred was Dr. Cranford's statements that she had a flat EEG. If that was the case, Michael S. could have had her cremated years ago. There just wasn't enough of a counter attack waged. And we have to do that now to really get something done.
Why did they continue to give Fox exclusives through Greta and not the rest of the media? I think that was a grave mistake. We needed to get the rest of the media on board.
I don't mean to Monday night quarterback after the fact, but we don't want to make the same mistakes again.
They have all been working hard, but to me someone dropped the ball. It seemed that they were always on the defensive rather than on the offensive.
I'm just saying if we organize, we need to make sure we cover all the bases. We don't want thre to be any doubt that most people support protection for the disabled. And I think most of us want an investigation into the going-ons in Pinellas County.
According to other posters, judicial campaign laws forbid candidates from mentioning ongoing or pending litigation. They are much more strict than laws for politicians.
"It sounds like the Schindlers are interested in getting laws passed to protect the disabled and will be front and center for us. But I think we can help them get something off the ground.
I feel that someone wasn't giving them the best advice possible. There should have been more emphasis on passing a protection bill a long time ago.
There definitely needs to be an investigation into this crime.
I'm sure there are things we can do to help if we start an activist group on FreeRepublic for Terri."
GREAT idea, FR_addict. As I said before, tomorrow I am calling my rep about having an investigation re: Terri.
ALSO, I heard that CBS is going to have a movie about Terri, but just now I heard a talk show host on 1210 AM radio, Philly, say that Michael Schiavo will get $2 million from CBS for the movie. Is this true, about the $2 million?
Michael Schiavo wants REVENGE, because the Schindlers did not make it easy for him to kill their daughter.
He is lower than a snake.
I agree with your entire post.
An activist group for Terri on FR is a GOOD idea. And you are just the person to start it.
" know scoop reported that there would have to be no autopsy previously"
Scoop reported that an autopsy was mandated pursuant to Section 406 and that MRS and Felos didn't have a choice whether or not to have an autopsy---that the ME called for the autopsy
"used to think hospice people were angels.. but from all the research I've been doing lately, I can see they are death obsessed.."
Well, I may have used "They are angels" the same way Awestruck used "They are death obsessed..." It is broadbrushing and I don't feel that it is at all accurate... I don't know who trained the hospice workers that saw your sister's friend and frankly, if what she said happened EXACTLY as she says it did, there is a majot problem there.
Before Terri Schiavo's case got as public as it did, i honestly had heard nothing but "Thank God for hospice..." and "Hospice helped us so much through one of our toughest times.." And now, it just doesn't sit well with me when I hear "...they're all death obsessed..." after doing "some research"... I'm sure people could do "some research" on the Catholic Church and suddenly priests are "...all pedophiles..." I just don't like the way this is going, we could be up all night debating this.... I mean, Woodside Hospice has been helping and treating how many thousands of people during the toughest times of their lives. Terri Schiavo finds herself there and you seem to feel now that they are of the "death obsessed" variety...
I didn't mean to put those exact words in your mouth, Sun but, I think you see where I'm coming from.... thanks for contributing back to me... :)

"For the record, She was not murdered".
Oh really? Well, I disagree

I agree with you Scoop. She was MURDERED, as the WORLD watched.

I think I was honest when I said that Laura Ingraham's mom had a good experience at a hospice with her mom, so I did show both sides, so I don't think my brush was that broad.
And yes, my sister has an almost photographic memory (wish I had it), and it did happen EXACTLY that way. I feel that the hospice worker was trained to take away all hope.
But I think we would both agree, that we ought to be very careful about checking out where we leave our loved ones, and monitor both mistakes, and deliberate "mistakes."
For instance, a nurse almost gave my dad someone else meds (many pills), an accident, but thankfully, my mom caught it on time.
We just don't know how many health care workers give a person more morphine than is needed, for the purpose of killing them.
Thoroughly check out all health facilities, be alert, and listen to your gut.
We need to begin plan to boycott this movie now and its sponsors.
No, this popular PA native and Pinellas County jail nurse does not speak Portuguese, does he?
"We need to begin plan to boycott this movie now and its sponsors."
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the new Terri justice thread would be a good place to do so.
If it is true that Michael will receive $2 million from CBS, and capitalizes on killing his wife, this is about the worst thing that I heard CBS do.
I just heard about the $2 million from a talk show host, but don't know for sure, if his info is accurate.
