These officers are little else but armed thugs. They have no more excuse for their actions than anyone else participating in murder under the excuse of "I was just following orders."

Little Eichmanns?

Little Eichmanns?

That seems to be the implication. I've got two sons who are cops, and this kind of hyperbole makes my blood boil!

Dear St.Chuck,

I can only say that they are following orders that have no objective standing as law, as the orders are intrinsically evil.

To enforce these orders, which are not actually statutory law, under the excuse that they were just following orders is to use an excuse that has already been rejected by civilized human beings.

But they did worse, still. These police officers actually told state troopers that they would resist the actions of the state troopers, under orders by the actual legal executive of the state of Florida.

These police chose to obey an illegal order by a two-bit probate judge rather than obey the legal orders emanating from the chief law enforcement officer of their state.

Unfortunately for their souls, they will not even be quite able to claim, "I was only following orders."
