The local bishop does look queer. On a level of professional experience, I recommend that people STAY AWAY from Catholic clergy that are homosexuals.
And by the way... who the heck still uses the word "bourgeois"? That is sooooo 1960s...
Can just take this moment to say this is the first time I've wondered on to a Shiavo thread today?
My guess is that there aren't a handful of police in this country who would willingly lose their jobs by directly disobeying orders from their superiors, no matter that his job required him to enforce the starvation and dehydration of an innocent, disabled woman.
You have heard it from Governor Jeb Bush and George "W", 'the law is the law, and there's nothing we can do within the law to help Terri Schiavo'. This is the mentality out there, even heinous, murderous judicial rulings will be enforced. This is NOT a t.v. show or a movie, this is reality in America now.
Unless you are fortunate enough to die of a heart attack or some other form of quick death, every single American citizen out there will one day become disabled and voiceless; either due to accident, illness or OLD AGE. The process of aging and eventually losing our physical and mental health is a fact of life. The elderly, sick and disabled also lose their voice in society. Perhaps the Terri Schiavo case sets a precedent for us all in the future. Perhaps it will become a way to deal with the massive Social Security crisis that is just around the corner that is being predicted by both Republicans and Democrats? Is this the way they're going to deal with the 'baby boomers' who are aging now and will become a burdon to the young who must support them by paying heavy taxes?
I don't believe for one second that the police in Florida who are enforcing the starvation of Terri Schiavo are just some sort of strange abberation, they represent what our country has become. We have become a nation of unthinking, unfeeling, politically correct robots. Surely due in part to being 'educated' in government operated public schools, and being reared in a nation that has decided God is dangerous to government and needs to be legislated out of all public places. When they ordered God out of the public, who did they expect would step in and fill the void?
Please do not ping me anymore. Your posts are uninformed and destructive of furthering genuine knowledge of Catholic matters.
I see lots of Google hits for "isogetical", but no dictionary definition.
In your professional experience, what signs are we to look for? What are the dead giveaways, IOW?
Well, thanks for the advice. I don't know why I never thought of that before. I'll make a mental note to STAY AWAY from Catholic clergy that are homosexuals. Thanks. :)
They keep a box of candy bars on their desk?
Sorry, but was I included FYI or as an additional DND?
Sure. Take as many moments as you need :)
Not enough of the Masonic heebie-jeebies in them, huh?
Whether that factor explains the moral dereliction of Catholic officials in this case, one could leave for further investigation.
Some of them tried to bring Terri the Eucharist, and were thrown out. (Only on Easter Sunday were they finally "given permission" by judge Greer to exercise Terri's Constitutional religious rights. But that was it.
The Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a statement condemning this entire outrage, as did the Vatican. Unfortunately, the Pope has no army. If "Catholics" like Jeb Bush decide to snub the Pope, what can the ailing 84 year old Pope do about it?
"heebie-jeebies"
Is that Polish?
Hey about your filial advice to your sons, any answers?
Pretending? So, they didn't go through the whole process for becoming a priest? I mean, did they just go online and fill out the "Become a Priest Today! 100% Legal!" form and voila! Priesthood!?
Still heckling Catholics defending innocent life? Was that part of the "deacon" training? What a shame. Please stop it, son.
You chose an apt screen name for yourself and your screed.
Please attend to the FR guidelines on personal attacks, son. These matters have been documented in numerous books and journal articles. Including VOLUMES of official Vatican documents.
Well, boy...I'll be civil if you will.
