It's something that gets discusses rather frequently (unfortunately) in educated Catholic circles, particularly at the major universities and seminaries. Probably because the church has lost around a billion dollars because of homosexuals pretending to be priests and molesting and raping teenage boys.

Whether that factor explains the moral dereliction of Catholic officials in this case, one could leave for further investigation.

Pretending? So, they didn't go through the whole process for becoming a priest? I mean, did they just go online and fill out the "Become a Priest Today! 100% Legal!" form and voila! Priesthood!?

I'm confused, what moral dereliction? The Florida Catholic Bishops have issued a public statement condeming Terri Schiavo's killing from pillar to post, and so has the Vatican. In fact in a very rare circumstance, the Vatican actually named Terri Schiavo in their condemnation of the growing phenomenon of euthenasia in America.

btw, I haven't seen any cavalry headed by Billy Graham, Jerry Falwell or James Dobson heading for Pinellas County lately. Where the hell are they?
