Freeper on the ground at Terry Schiavo hospice
3/29/05 | The Bat Lady

Posted on 03/29/2005 5:48:15 PM PST by The Bat Lady

TheSarce, a member of the H.O.T. chapter is on the ground at the hospice today.

She is helping the inexperienced freep better and shooting video. She gets the straight scoop from people close to the family.

I'm sure you have heard on the news that Terry hasn't had any urine output since last night.

THIS IS A LIE. It will happen soon enough but has not happened yet. Please share this with the threads you follow, your address list and have people call Gov. Bush.

Florida residents need to call their Florida congressmen.

ANDRE LENOGE: "Where is Congress? Where are the Senators?
Nobody knows. There has only been only one case like this in all of American history.
That was Roanoke Island, North Carolina in 1587 when everyone disappeared. Every man, woman and child.
Hope is dimming for the missing ethical residents of the US Congress.
Today the Congress is quiet, empty of sentient people
but there is word carved on the side of the back wall of the Senate Chamber, "Croaton".
No one knows what it means. Maybe its a place favored for pork?
Maybe it is a hex to call Satan from evil Pinellas County, Florida. No one knows.
But I do know one thing. Congress will ALL need to be replaced in the next election."

Senators (in Unison): "We are sorry Judge Greer. We are sorry Judge Greer. We will give you what you want.
We are so sorry Judge Greer. Please take our respect and our children.
Starve them. Cremate them. Feed them to your seeing-eye dogs. Oh Judge Greer, we worship you and will all give you anything you want."

Judgenfuhrer Greer: "As of today, March 29, the US Congress and its toliet paper subpoenas
are NOTHING but pussies and a bucket of warm spit.
Payback for 2000 as I micturate on 18 USC Section 1505 and Title 2 of the US code."

"I wouldn't trust Felos any more than I can throw him with one arm tied behind my back.

I agree but it wasn't the point being made in my post."

The recurring theme has been "What's the source of the info on no more urine?". So if you look again at your post and my response you will understand that I am dead on target.

Here is a thought that I hope will be considered even by those who agree that Jeb and W have done all that they could within the law.

Michael Schiavo last week invited both the President and the Governor to visit his wife. I think they should go.

And bring her water.

Some argue that the Governor would be dangerously disrupting the balance of powers between the branches of government if he took executive action. Arresting him for bringing water would be such a breech as well, but it would be by those serving the court.

Fifty have already been arrested trying to bring Terri water. Go, Mr President. Go, Governor. Bring her water.

Last time I checked, I wasn't Libertarian.
Honestly, I have only familiar with him via the Schaivo case, nothing before or outside of that.

For a woman who doesn't want to die, she sure hasn't made a strong rally.

To unravel your misunderstanding here, we need to go back to near the beginning of the thread where you'll find this:

"..I'm sure you have heard on the news that Terry hasn't had any urine output since last night. THIS IS A LIE. It will happen soon enough but has not happened yet ...

??? If she hasn't urinated yet then it's not a lie"

That was the source of confusion for two posters. If you look at it it is apparently contradictory. (But, heh, I think I figured it out.) What is meant by the "It" in "It will happen soon enough? "it" is the anticipated fact of her stopping urinating. That was my point. I'm confident others appreciated it.

My wild guess is that no urine is an indication of imminent Kidney failure because physically the kidneys can not continue to operate without water. It is not a sign of failure in and of itself. Any medics that can give a clarification?

"For a woman who wanted to die, she sure is hanging on for a long time."

Sick people often die when they are very ill because they have no will to keep fighting - Terri's fight suggests there is a will in there somewhere that wants to survive.

Whats wrong with randall terry??

Are you kidding? Nothing like having a man screaming for the high moral ground who has no basis to STAND on the high moral ground.

Let him go heal his own family because he decides what the rest of country's families' business.

Colmes inhumanity is showing. This is about a living, breathing human being; not the law as he sees it. If the law was used in the correct way; we would not be witness to this murder.

When I heard Randall Terry shrieking threats against Jeb Bush the other day, I realized what a totally frazzled nut case he really is.

He is the personification of every stereo-type the left likes to promote of the radical right. What an embarrassment.

I'd sure like to see some statistics on this.

One of my best friend's is a manager (he's in charge of insurance coding of medical records) at a fairly large hospital here in Connecticut. While he didn't give me any hard numbers, he did say, during our discussion of Terri's situation over the weekend, that withholding food, water, and medical procedures happens all the time. If the individual has a living will &/or the family is in agreement, the food & water stops.

Personally, I think that the sheeple have been sold a bad bill of goods in this whole "Death w/ Dignity" crap. Now, if you say feed me & medicate me till I'm flatlining, people look at you like you're crazy. Death w/ Dignity is going to lead to Duty to Die. Don't be a burden on your family and all that garbage.

Heck, no one's life ever ends up the way we think it will. And we all adjust to it. If I couldn't walk, I wouldn't be happy, but I'd adjust. No one knows in advance what he/she could get use to until it happens.

How can any of us know that Terri wasn't happy!!! She never planned to end up as she has, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have an appreciation for her life as it is.

Sorry, no one has the right to stop feeding someone, who isn't already dying, under any circumstances. To do so is either murder or assisted suicide.

The fact she has survived this long without water may be a miracle.

I believe God is keeping her alive to
She has survived all these days of dehydration and the morphine drip her ghoul MD has running in her...

She is one tough cookie...I dont know many healthy atheletes that could survive what she has gone through these last years
and the other time they tried to kill her and couldn't

Bush should pardon her just because she is so tough...
and posesses such a will to live

What she could tell us of these last few years if they would give her the therapy she needs and the water and food..

what tales she could tell...

imo

"If she survives after two weeks, the feeding tube should be reinserted."

Now pray tell what's the reasoning behind this statement? Was this some sort of endurance test our country had to go through?

You know we who are pro-lifers have said that man shouldn't decide the time of death and that God should do the choosing. It's beginning to look like that is still exactly what God is doing.
