My husband is a Viet vet and whenever we smell something awful, we both look at each other and say "kimchee"--a little joke because he told me how awful it smelled---

When I came home from the local Kroger one day and told him they started selling kimchee in the produce section, he couldn't believe it!

Kimchee is just a pickled product like sauerkraut or even pickles. I've never had the nerve to try the supermarket variety, but I've had some in a Korean restaurant that was wonderful.

I will pass this on to my husband, the smell of kimchee made a big impression on him.
