this sad affair has opened my eyes to incestuousness and corruption that I simply cannot abide. I'll still support, and vote, for candidates who best represent my country, my state, and my interests. The Republicans will never see another penny from me until I see some improvements. And the Bushes have been a vast letdown.

I agree. Not supporting the party anymore. Just individuals who have shown active protection of the Constitution, God given human life and individual rights. As someone previously posted (can't remember who), "my eyes have been opened....after believing my eyes were already opened."

Exactly.

In the old days here in the South, few Republicans won office, but that was not as bad as it would seem-- many of the Southern Democrats were strong supporters of the Constitution, the military, and suspicious about the "wonderfullness of ever-growing government." The last big name Dem I supported was Sam Nunn, and I'd do it again. You knew where you stood with him, and he was willing to fight for his beliefs, unlike many of these "moderates" who plague us now.
