What we saw was the rule of judges. The rule of law was disregarded.

So the media tells us what to focus on. Not the VALUE of this dying woman, but necessity of having a written will.
The joke on America is that if judges can diregard the law than they can disregard living wills arbitrarily.
Oh my. The joke is bigger than that. Sign a living will? Risk starvation. The model Liveing Will in Florida statutes calls for starvation as the manner of death. The outcome is buried in the definitions, as a normal interpretation of the language cares for the patient. But the legal parsing results in death by starvation.
Does the media even understand what happened? What IS happening? Ignorance is no excuse but I think they're oblivious.
