After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

Evidently, there is a disconnect somewhere. Randall comes on and says the previous lawyer is wrong. And Felos is a liar. And Jay Sekelow worked on the appeal and he's good. Linda, at the close of the interview, said the 1st lawyer had some pretty harsh words for Randall Terry. Terry just smiled.....

No, but we KNOW the situation will not be fixed as long as we keep appointing DemonRAT judges. When Rehnquist retires, I expect Dubyuh will appoint Scalia as Chief Justice, then fill his seat with another Conservative. I'm not enuff of a scholar to know what sorta Power the CJ has to reform the Court, but if it's possible, I think Scalia's an excellent candidate to get it done!!

I think if Terri's tubes get reinserted, good things may happen that would prevent the tubes ever being taken out again, regardless of what these particular judges end up ruling. i think the momentum has changed in this case and if we can get terri rehydrated, we can pull out a victory one way or the other.

Thank you for your response. (I pinged you to my post because you posted the links.) As a nurse, my opinion was based on a nurse's view of the record as well as what the other nurse's have said. I had seen the balloon clip many times. But even then, Terri was still an abstract for me. IOW, I knew what was right, but it had not yet touched my heart.

Two things broke through to touch my heart. When the speaker said "good" and she raised her eyebrows. And when she responded to her father with her laugh.I watched again and again. They were not random. They were approrpriate behavior for someone with a brain impairment who has lost the ability to communicate.

It is in God's hands right now. I hope and pray someone's heart can be changed. But if God has a higher purpose for Terri, what we want may not be what we are given. I hope if God calls her home we are wise enough to ask ourselves what is God's higher purpose? If he calls Terri home today or tomorrow, what does he want us to do afterwards?

This has been quite an emotional moment for me. I can only imagine the fear of being helpless when told "we are going to take away your tube so you can die." Who knows what new age bullshit (sorry, no other word will do right now) felos has been saying to her while in her room.

I do not understand how legal arguments trump what is right in a situation such as this. Right up to and through SCOTUS.

I'm sorry, but that sounds just like a Michael Schiavo talking point. This is not somebody's privacy in jeopardy here, Mrs. Bush. It's somebody's very life. And after hers, many other lives. This is very much the public's business, when a disabled woman is put to death under our law.

Which "family" of Terri Schiavo is complaining, Mrs. Bush? Which relatives don't want this killing protested to high heaven?
