Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

The governor shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed
I am shocked to learn that.
But at least they know where he is and he is reachable.
I don't think I've seen one single FReeper who doesn't believe that it is an injustice. What I have seen are some FReepers who, while believing it is an injustice, don't want to see the very fabric of our nation torn apart by advocating rebellion, UN intervention, government official breaking the law etc... as a method of solving it...
Big difference there, FRiend.
=== GWB needs to order a full investigation by the Justice Dept.
By or of?
Maybe Danforth's available.
Well, he needs to be protected from zealots who have phoned, emailed, or posted death threats...
I'm not going to fault Bush for that.
Chad, she may be conscious. I don't know, but from what I'm reading, she may be.
And Judge Greer says this "argumet" is waived because it wasn't made 3 days ago at a different hearing.
This is surreal.
Oh, don't even get me started!
I caught a part of a call into the Jerry Agar show in KC, where the guy was going off on how SELFISH the Shindlers were, since there were so many people that Terri could have been helping, if they would only allow her organs to be donated! She was dead anyway, so her organs should have been used to help "the living."
Jerry was beside himself, and I nearly drove my car off the road.
I swear, it seems like we're living in a Monty Python sketch!
Mark
Wait a minute.
THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE...
The issue was about ''show when it happened for ONE person..."
NOT THE WHY.
He could recommend, but I doubt he can order - and even if he DID order, what prosecutor would open a case for "First Degree Murder" by a sitting judge in a legal proceeding?
It' sillyon it's face.
LOL
We now need Terry's Law No more put to death by dehydration and starvation.
All states
Blessed Easter to all
And may the U.S.Marshalls have better character and courage than Gov. Bush's FDLE.
Ignore Felos. He is a genuine psycho.
This is a ghastly creature, a true spawn of hell. He sees beauty in the death of the innocent. He revels in it. Unfortunately, so do many Americans.
Heck, I myself wondered why they didn't request an emergency hearing LAST WEEK when the "Aaaah waaa" event actually happened??????
I work with the Marshalls often, they are awesome.
Indeed, indeed.
Kr K really did say that.
Evil.
Evil.
Evil.
That I agree with. FInally, a rational, well-thought out potential solution to this issue.
Thank yo, FranApple.
