Bob and Mary Schindler, both practicing Catholics, urged dozens of supporters gathered outside the Florida hospice where Schiavo is being cared for to go home for Easter.
"The family would request that everyone go home, be with your children, hold them close and share every moment you have with them," said Brother Paul O'Donnell, a Franciscan monk who is a spiritual adviser to the Schindlers.
It was not clear if the Schindlers had finally abandoned all legal avenues in their fight to restart their 41-year-old daughter's feeding, a cause that embroiled the Florida legislature, the U.S. Congress and President Bush.

"God, please bless this nation."
That will be my main prayer tonight, as we certainly need the grace of God after this travesty of justice, and moral depredation.
PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (Reuters) - Terri Schiavo's parents suffered more court defeats on Saturday, leaving them with dwindling hopes as their brain-damaged daughter passed her eighth day without food and edged toward death.

The Schindlers have drawn passionate support from conservative Christians, right-to-life and anti-abortion activists in their struggle to prolong their daughter's life. Lobbying from the Christian right prompted the U.S. Congress to pass a special law to push the case into federal courts.

Why not boycott and protest any resturant or food store that sells food to the Judge.
I would say anyone who is being intentionally starved and dehydrated is in immenent danger of dying. A little over one week ago she wasn't terminal, today she is.
Yes, agreed.
Why not we take up collection and hire an employee to pee in his food
I agree. This cannot die with Terri. I would think this bunch of murderous thugs has got to be somewhat worried.
It seems to be over now. God Bless you Terri. May you go home quickly. God Bless Mary and Bob. Your hearts must be horribly broken. You fought hard.
Then let's all see pictures of how beautiful it is to be starved and dehydrated to death.
I am not convinced, to say the least.
Dan
LOL. A righteous and appropriate wish. I'm right there with you.
So true, so very, very true!
Testify my brother!
Amen.
She needs the crowd, otherwise what would be the point of having her there with a camera crew? It is the Geraldo Show, afterall.
Yes and he will want to burn any evidence that she was abused or that there was an attemp on her life.
There's that rationality and levelheadedness that have characterized the zillions of Schiavo threads!
Reminds me of those serial murder movies where the serial murderer thinks that what he has done to a person is the most beautiful thing ever. How beautiful he has made them by whatever murder fetish he has.
Ghoul is the right word for such a person!
Matthew 25:31-46
This bit of scripture has been running thru my mind since last Friday when they began to kill Terri. I know in my heart there will be justice for her EVENTUALLY, but I just wish we could see some of that justice ourselves, now.
The Schindlers are far, far better people than most of those with whom they have had to encounter during this long, agonizing ordeal. Michael will reap what he has sown. It is sad that Terri will die before this is realized. At times, it is very difficult to be a nation of laws, especially when such laws are so egregiously violated. God speed now, dear Theresa.
