As I understand the MRI could be performed if the electrodes were removed. There is also another test (PET Scan) that hasn't been done and still others that could be re-administered as a final confirmation of her status. I just really don't understand why they aren't done as a matter of course...they were when I faced similar decisions in my family.
Of course, to a Top Neurologist it would be easy. Duh. However, the surgery required could kill her...
