Friday, March 25, 2005 10:57 p.m. EST Greer Got Donation From Mike Schiavo's Lawyer

Reclaiming America, an organization backed by Rev. D. James Kennedy, reported that a serious conflict of interest may exist for the Fla. State Judge who is ruling on the Terri Schiavo case.

The report from Reclaiming America follows:

As if the circumstances surrounding Terri Schiavo could not get any more suspicious, the Center for Reclaiming America has uncovered evidence that Pinellas-Pasco County Circuit Judge George W. Greer accepted a campaign contribution from the law firm of Michael Schiavo’s attorney only one day after "Terri’s Law” was declared unconstitutional by a Pinellas county court. This appears to establish a clear conflict of interest between Judge Greer and the best interests of Terri Schiavo.

Judge Greer has been responsible for establishing "the facts” in the case of Terri Schiavo. Sadly, he has dismissed or ignored testimony from 33 physicians (15 neurologists) who are willing to testify that Terri is not in a persistent vegetative state and can improve, he has refused to allow the Florida Department of Children and Families to conduct a criminal investigation of Michael Schiavo, he has refused to honor a subpoena from the U.S. Congress, and he has blocked virtually all efforts from the Schindler family to save the life of their daughter.

According to public records available from the Florida Department of State: Division of Elections, Judge George W. Greer received a campaign contribution from the law firm of Felos & Felos during his re-election efforts in the spring of 2004.

Of course, no direct evidence suggests collusion between the two parties, but the timing of the campaign contribution is highly suspect.

On May 6, 2004, a Pinellas county court struck down legislation ("Terri’s Law”) passed by the Florida legislature and signed by Governor Jeb Bush, which was designed to halt a previous attempt to starve Terri Schiavo to death.

On May 7, 2004 — only one day after the ruling — Judge Greer received a campaign gift from the law firm of Michael Schiavo’s attorney.

This was not due to a fundraising effort, as this was the only contribution made to the Greer campaign fund on that particular day.

Judge Greer need to go under a microscope until we do what we did to Dan Rather. Run him out of town.

I lived in Florida and all the judges are crooks. They are all for sale. We just need to find one of the buyers.

I've heard interesting speculation that Felos and Greer are both rabid supporters of the "right to die" and were each happy to see this case come to them.

So what? Judges are above the law. Judges have no obligation to be honest or ethical. Who's gonna say anything? They are little gods. The Constitution tells them so.

There has been so much information this week to sift through! I'm trying to take some notes now and bring it all together. I don't know why...I just feel like I need to do something.

I read somewhere that before this case went to Greer, Greer helped Felos change or pass a law about PVS or right to die...I'm still trying to find that post.

Let's count how many minutes it will take Jeb Bush to grow a spine, in light of this new evidence.

No time left to save Terri, probably, but this is a huge problem for *Judge* Greer, both as an ethical breach and the very bad publicity that will come with it.

Judges are supposed to avoid not only real conflicts of interest, but also avoid any appearances of impropriety. For him to accept a contribution from Felos not only looks improper, it shows how arrogant and stupid he is to not recognize the ramifications.

So far the villification of Greer has come from many angles, but nothing in the form of a reversal from a higher court or censure from an official body. This could be the thing that ruins Greer, given the magnitude of this case.

Thing that bugs me about this article is it doesn't say how much the contribution was.

It was for $250, which is hardly a huge amount, but there may be some applicable legal limits.

Anyway, Felos could easily argue, "Well, yes, we gave because we appreciated Judge Greer doing the right thing."

"Disbarment seems appropriate here. Disbar Judge Greer for not recusing himself from the case, and disbar Felos for having a conflict-of-interest."

You are too kind. Disbarment too lenient. PROSECUTE with impunity.

BINGO, unfortunately it might come at the cost of Terri Schiavo's life, but it's becoming quite clear that the Patriots of the Republic are damn sick and tired of the current state of the Judicial Tyranny that is happening these days. Mark Levin's book "Men in Black" is a great read, and I believe most red state Americans are aware of our runaway judiciary and think it's time to confront it.

When our Supreme Court Justices, (such as Kennedy and Breyer) are so eager to ignore the text of our Constitution, that they have the nerve to cite foreign law, and Treaties that haven't been ratified by Congress, to justify their unconstitutional opinions, we have a major problem. If our Constitution is not honored we will lose it. Justice Scalia has been on a warpath about this and if you have seen his latest debate with Justice Breyer on C_Span, you should check it out. Scalia also gave a speech lately that touched upon these concerns, I have them both on DVD and plan to share them with all who is interested

Every time I read a post that has information in it that could help Terri Schindler-Schiavo, I copy/paste from the original, send the url and email it to Governor Bush and President Bush. I feel that's all I can do now.

I hope and pray it helps, if not Terri, then at least exposes the crooked lawyers and judges and Medicaid thieves at Suncoast.

To me this clearly enough evidence that Gov. Bush needs to send the Florida agents to seize Terri. It sounds clearly that there has been a payoff to the judge. He should go get Terri tonight. Did this story just break tonight? I hadn't heard it on the news all day. We need to write Gov. Bush tonight.

I am firmly convinced Judge Greer is a hard core misogynist.

In Florida the judges stay as long as they are not voted out. I'm off to bed soon, otherwise I'd look it up for you. Go and google Florida term judges election...or something like that.
