...and I don't think Jeb and George realize how much we are angry at them for this. I think they thought their political careers would suffer more if they do something to help Terri, but I have a feeling they will soon find out that doing nothing hurt them more.

It's more than anger, and it's more than moral outrage. It's a knowledge that Terri was betrayed and abandoned, and so were we all. They yielded us up, and democracy also, to the judiciary.

So much for "we the people."

I know my lesson learned from all of this is that the Judicaial system is in control of the US in every area, family court, probate court, criminal court,etc.. They are the masters and now we know that is true seeing our own executive leaders bow to them! I will never forget this as long as I live. Many people will in the coming weeks, but I won't and I hope none of you will either! We must never forget Terri and keep it in the minds of people every day, including our leaders! We will not tolerate this any more!

You said it for me.

I mentioned earlier that Pat Buchanan, who opposed the Bushes when it was never popular, wrote a book in 1975 called Conservative Votes, Liberal Victories. I read it in the early 1980s. What has happened is that 30 years has passed, and everything that Pat said has accelerated. "We" still win elections, but liberals still prevail on policy, now through courts.

Yes, we are to accept that the most powerful man on earth, namely, POTUS, who "freed fifty million" and all of that, cannot free this one woman.

Oh, Homer Simpson and I find that perfectly logical.

While it is bad enough that an innocent woman is being put to death on Jeb's watch, the political fallout is terrifying. Euthanasia, illegal in Florida, is now legal as long as a judge says so. Florida law doesn't matter. Jeb doesn't uphold it. The President's silence is more terrifying still. He is signaling that euthanasia is legal anywhere in the US, where any judge says it is legal.

If the laws counted for anything, the Governor and the President would be defending the laws. Instead they are sending a message to every judge in America, that they will not interfere with judicial decisions even if those are clearly contrary to the law.
