While it is bad enough that an innocent woman is being put to death on Jeb's watch, the political fallout is terrifying. Euthanasia, illegal in Florida, is now legal as long as a judge says so. Florida law doesn't matter. Jeb doesn't uphold it. The President's silence is more terrifying still. He is signaling that euthanasia is legal anywhere in the US, where any judge says it is legal.
If the laws counted for anything, the Governor and the President would be defending the laws. Instead they are sending a message to every judge in America, that they will not interfere with judicial decisions even if those are clearly contrary to the law.

The Bush Boys are BOWING to the judiciary! The way I see it is that you are right on all your points, and I share your sense that the political fallout is terrifying indeed!
Add to that the lack of will in the Senate to use the nuclear option. The minority is in control. There are scary ramifications to that, too.
