"Judge Greer asked why it took so long for this claim to come before him"

Why did it take Michael Schiavo so long (7 years) to give his hearsay testimony that was entered as factual evidence....see there is an unbalanced scale of justice here...whatever Schiavo's side says is taken as gospel and Schindler's side is not credible...this fact alone should be raising the hugest red flags to everyone!

It is a serious question.

You have a lawyer making a representation to the tribunal.

If the lawyer is lying to the judge just to have the tube reinserted, the judge has to make a finding regarding the statement. If the judge does not say that the vocalizations were let me live, the judge could just say it was a misinterpritation. Otherwise the attorney may be in larger trouble. If the judge finds the attorney intentionally lied to the court (ethical violation of lying to the tribunal) the judge may HAVE to report the attorney to the bar.

If the judge does that it also solidifyies the inevitable emergency appeal. I bet Felos and his fellow hemlock society types are mystified why the mother and father will not quit.

You responded to this question from a poster: "Judge Greer asked why it took so long for this claim to come before
him"

I truly believe that Terri regularly speaks a few words here and there. About 1 1/2 years ago, Schiavo added another couple of items to the list of Forbidden things in Terri's room.

The items - were all recording devices and Cell phones. Of course, Judge Greer wasted no time in approving the request. If Terri's family were allowed to bring recorders in her room, I'm sure they would have been able to record Terri's voice speaking many times.

This reminds me of a death penalty case, where the prosecutor refuses to admit he convicted the wrong person no matter what new evidence is found.

The media still doesn't realize how difficult it has been to document Terri's abilities. They act like Doctors are free to go in an examine her, which is not true. The Schindler's have been under such horrible pressure for years. If only HINO would have just walked away.
