Sadly, that sort of bigotry and thoughtless stereotyping is typical of what we "not on the Left" face. It's hard to take, besides being grossly unfair and inaccurate.
EternalVigilance knows me via the telephone- Tom, how are you?- and can at least say that I don't appear to be a fire-breathing, bible-pounding fanatic in normal conversation. My wife & I are lifelong Episcopalians, but due to her years of work at the local Synagogue, have had no fewer than four different Rabbis dub us "honorary Jews." She also belongs to the Temple Sisterhood. Darned if I can see a "fanatic" around this house.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I can not rest until Terri is safe. What is happening to her, is nothing but state ordered MURDERED. They have set NEW PRECEDENTS with this Execution.
Like you, I'm not an extremists. I'm just a normal everyday American that was living in a dreamland world up until a few years ago, when I first learned of a very loving family who are fighting to STOP THE ILLEGAL MURDER of their daughter and sister. It's hedious and it's beyond words. Your wife is right. I'm very scared and horrified too.
My sis-in-law, at the age of 27, was in a dirt bike(motorcycle) accident. She was severely brain injured. I spent alot of time with her during the very long recovery process. Doctors said she was-->
Brain dead - would never talk - would die - would never walk - and ect. After much therapy and treatment, she recovered almost 80 percent. The doctors were WRONG.
When we allow doctors and judges to decide who lives and dies, we are no longer on a slippery slope. The country has sunk to the bottom of the pit. I can't believe this is real. Like your wife, I'm horrified. I love Zell Miller. He has fire in his bones, for the things he believes.
I'm glad you mentioned Zell Miller. Some one should contact him and see if he will speak out for Terri. We can't give up!! While it's true that we are literally *WALKING THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH*. Psalms 23:4. It goes on to say - I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, FOR THOU ART WITH ME, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
As I type those words from the 23rd Psalm, they have never before had such a strong meaning, and seems to apply to exactly what is happening Florida.
The Judge and Felos are determined for Terri to die. They have no respect for her life. She is not PVS, as I've been with my sister-in-law along her path to recovery. TERRI HAS BEEN DENIED THE THERAPY my sister was given. The only way they could Murder Terri was by doing everything in their power to deny any and all stimulus to Terri, and therefore try to break her spirit.
Terri must have a very STRONG WILL TO LIVE. Just imagine if any of us were confined to a very small room, with drapes drawn, no tv, no radio and etc. Imagine our muscles declining from atrophy. Terri's spirit has not been broken, despite their efforts. This is the third time, Terri has been starved. Terri's own words, many years ago, were ** Where there is Life, there is Hope**.
There's a 3 minute tape of Terri and her Dad. It became available just last weekend. I'm not sure why it hasn't been given to the courts. When I listened to the tape, as Mr. Schindler asked Terri how she was - asked Terri to say hi to daddy, I cried as I heard the Love in his voice and heard Terri try so hard to say Hi Dad. Her voice was like ours would be if we didn't use our tongue to form the words. It was scratchy and rough, but it sure sounded like she responded to her dad by saying ..hiiiii daaad. Why isn't the media playing that tape. I heard it only once on Fox News.
For a period of time, Terri had a respirator to help her breath. You can see the scar on her heck. Sometimes people who have been on a respirator, have some damage to their vocal cords, therefore causing a change in the voice.
Terri has not had any speech therapy since 1993, even though it's been documented that she spoke back in 1991 or earlier. Nurses have said she spoke several words in court documents also. An evil Judge ignores all those words and is torturing her by Starvation and NO WATER!!
Backhoe, I agree with you. We are just normal people who have a heart and eyes and ears. We can see thru the BS and Double Speak from those who are LYING about Terri's condition and are right now FORCING TERRI TO DIE by denying her Water. I'm an extremists in the sense, I'm obsessed to do all I can to help STOP THIS JUDICAL INJUSTICE.
The media has to distort what is going on at the Woodside DEATH HOUSE. They must convience people that only nutheads and lunatics are standing up and fighting for Terri. I'm proud to stand with Terri no matter what I'm called. They have distorted Terri's condition and called her a vegetable. It makes me sick.
Yet another Court just now rejected Terri's family to have Terri's Food and Water restored to her. Outrageous!!
