You are expressing exactly what I said yesterday on these threads and I was being asked to "go away". So sad. It isn't that we like what is happening, but there is a larger picture here.

Maybe God is calling Terri to be the martyr for the cause, I don't know. But I feel certain this is a test for all of us who are pro-life - a test to trust the Lord which I have heard people post about on this site quite often. Sometimes it's a matter of having the humility of realizing it isn't us...it really is God's will.

Lord Jesus, you are so wonderful...we are so appreciative that you have heard all our prayers and are standing beside Terri right now. Let her tormentors and all those who clammor for her blood, there in Florida, in the world, and here on this board, come to understand the heinousness of their behavior and lead them towards you, Most High. Bless them by letting them be aware of what they have done and cause them to turn in repentance to you for forgiveness. Be with the Schindlers, Lord, hold them tight, love them, care for them. And kiss Terri, hold Terri, love Terri, comfort Terri, ease any pain or fear she may have, and if it is still within your will...rescue her, Most High. In Jesus name.

It's not God's will that she be murdered...I don't question it would be in his will to use her murder for judgement, example, or whatever else he will...but he would never, ever sanction her murder.

Awestruck, I just came back and read some of your posts regarding your dear father. I am so very sorry. (((((hugs))))) I've seen your kindness here on this board and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you did all you could for your dad. We are limited in the information we need to have sometimes and then all we can do - is the best we can do. I had a grandma in a nursing home and when she died I had creepy feelings that they had "allowed it to happen" without doing much to intervene - I felt badly too like I could have done more, but I simply did not know what to do!

It is very difficult in our society (where care institutions are money-making businesses) to discern if the people there have a loved one's best interests at heart or not. It's like walking into a used car dealership. Everyone smiles when you're considering buying.

Frankly, it seems a lot of institutions today have been corrupted to one extent or another. I have a book entitled How To Get Out of the Hospital Alive and it's no joke. They say to never leave a loved one alone in a hospital room at all and to monitor all care received. But this is not easy - very challenging.

I will say this to everyone here: Without letting your doctor know your beliefs, bring up this situation with Terri and ask him if he thinks Terri is suffering as she dehydrates. Your doctor's answer will be very telling. I am looking for a new doctor because I found out mine is pro-murder.

Also, ladies, check to see if your ob-gyn supports abortion. A friend of mine was raving about how wonderful her ob-gyn is and so I called since I was looking for one - and found out the doctor does abortions.

The very fact that Michael Schiavo is a nurse and still working should frighten us all. Sometimes I think that hospital settings attract wierdos focused on death and suffering. My sincere apologies to any nurses here - anyone supporting Terri's fight in the medical field would clearly be in their right mind and a good person. But I am sure you would agree with me on many points.

I think maybe we're all too close to it...

The fact that Terri got congressional legislation, that Jeb tried to get DCF to do it, and other things show their outrage. But we need Bush and the Senate to change the judiciary. We need people to see the badness of the laws to get to work on their state legislatures. We need people to realize Terri is just one face, that there are so many others in her situation.

We are on the front and don't have perspective, because we're getting our news feed from a combination of people who care desperately and people who couldn't really care less, or are on the other side.

We don't know except what the news feeds are feeding us.

Step out on faith, know that God knows who belongs to him, even if we can't see through the veil the enemy is spreading, and do the right thing. Can't do much more than that.

May the hymns and prayers and tears of the Vigilers surrounding Hospice reach into the heart of this mother's child, comforting her in this hour ... may they reach the ears of those who have worked so long and so fiercely for her death ... may their hearts at last be melted ...

I'm afraid you will never be able to convince me that Jeb and the President did all they could...sorry.

Polly said: "No. You make a lot of sense. But what deeply disturbs me is the lack of moral outrage...perhaps everything you're saying is true...it has occurred to me, too...there is no outrage...the President has not even spoken out about the fact that a puny little Florida judge has just run roughshod of the Congress, the President of the United States, the Governor of Florida, and the American People...not to mention the fact that he is murdering an innocent woman. I'm leaving the Republican party."

You go, girl! You're hitting the nail on the head. It feels as though these people have shown no compassion whatsoever to the Schindler family by embracing them with words of comfort.

A president cannot pardon a governor unless it is a federal crime involved.

And yet...he continued on letting his mother starve to death. What have we become? I don't even want to know. My God, stop the world, I want to get off.

Hands that are now twisted by man's neglect will be made whole by the Love of God so that this mother's child might touch the hem of His garment ...

The word for today is:

schadenfreude \SHAHD-n-froy-duh\, noun:
A malicious satisfaction in the misfortunes of others.

He would let her be a martyr though, if people chose to do the legal but not truly just way. The hands that are guilty are the judiciary hands, and MS. God has let many, many people be martyrs over the years, especially as witnesses to the cruelty of human evil...like all those women in Sudan raped and killed because they were darker skinned, sometimes Christian, and vunerable.

He gives choices. And those in control, in the courts, chose the letter of the law, even if dark.
