Schindlers' Options Dwindle to Hearing Tonight with Federal Judge (Motion DENIED)
AP ^ | March 24, 2005

Posted on 03/24/2005 4:45:17 PM PST by West Coast Conservative

A federal court hearing has started in one of the last effort attempts by Terri Schiavo's parents to restore their daughter's feeding tube.

But the judge already has turned down the parents once. Bob and Mary Schindler are asking for an emergency order to reinsert the feeding tube in the brain-damaged woman.

The hearing in Tampa is before U.S. District Judge James Whittemore. He turned the Schindlers down once, as did a federal appeals court and the Supreme Court. A state judge, a state appeals court and the Florida Supreme Court also have all come down on the side of the husband, who wants to let his wife die after 15 years in what some doctors call a vegetative state.

The latest defeat for the Schindlers was today when a state judge said he won't go along with Governor Jeb Bush's request to order the feeding tube reinserted. The governor had said that new allegations of abuse of Terri Schiavo need to be investigated. The governor also tried to challenged the diagnosis that Terri Schiavo is in a persistent vegetative state.

And the judges will be more powerful than ever, able to dish out horrific deaths to innocent people. I don't understand why so many people want to see Terri starved to death. This is barbaric.

MATTER, that is, as opposed to mater. Sorry. Sometimes the brain outruns the tired fingers.

There was was once a great nation.

Who used to follow God's Law.

Then one day this nation

Decided that man's law was better.

And caught in the web was a helpless women.

And those who demanded her death let her suffer.

Rather than at least demand she be given lethal injection.

Her crime was she was not a criminal.

Because in this once great nation

It was decided she had less rights than a criminal.

While criminals got 3 meals a day and drink.

She got none.

May God have mercy on this once great nation.

God will judge all in the end.

Those who sat by and "worried" about man's law

And "politics"

Rather than save a helpless woman

And allowed her to suffer by starving her and giving her no drink

Will have to answer.

The Florida constitution needs to be changed to require an oath or a sworn instrument by the patient, before a patient "may" forego food and water or equivalent nourishment.

Here's an idea:

Maybe Iceland could be persuaded to grant Terri citizenship and sanctuary, like Bobby Fischer?

For some reason, I'm reminded of the little story C. S. Lewis tells in "Mere Christianity" about an acquaintance who, when told of the announcement of bread rationing during WWII, said (paraphrased), "Oh, that's no problem. We always have toast for breakfast."

You see, these deluded, blinded people are not starving a living woman; they are following the law. It's no problem for them.

See what I mean?

I don't understand it either.

It looks like those that want it are succeeding and in just a few shourt days it will be over.

I hope Terri doesn't suffer and finds peace and happiness in the life to come.

The phrase is

God Bless America

IT's NOT God Only Bless the strong and healthy in America

Otherwise we are no better than Nazi Germany was.

I don't get either, they keep saying she's brain dead, I guess that means kill them how you please. They won't address the manner in which she is dying. Slow and painful...and barbaric.

The words of Jack Nicholson as the Joker spring to mind - "this town needs an enema". Namely, it appears the judges in Florida need to find employment more suited to their talents - as village idiots.

Regards, Ivan

All the kings horses

And all the kings men

Couldn't be bothered

To save Terri again.

So off for Easter

So they could enjoy their win.

After all the Michael Jackson trial was much more interesting.

AND THEY LEFT HER TO DIE A SLOW DEATH.

Sadly, I was just telling my children that MS is counting on that exactly what you posted. There will be all sorts of speeches on this, Terri will die, there will be some more ranting and the the average american sheep will get back to shopping for their new car or getting proposals for the next addition to their house.

She will be completely forgotten in a year and Michael S. and his detestable attorney's know it and are counting on it. They know that they only have to wait a few more hours and this will all be over - and we'll all go back to sleep.

How sad indeed

Question how many people have had there feeding tube removed and left to die this week?

Second question If i were to go to Terri's room and shot her would i be charged in her death?

Second question is very Hypothetical

George Felos says that Gov Bush has no power to take Terri into protective custody. "They have no more power than you or I or a person walking down the street to say we have the right to take Terri Schiavo."
