NBC Nightly News had a segment last night on exactly this. They STATED that MS has been "villified" (their words) by folks like me. Went on and on about how he has stood by her, blah blah blah. At least they did have a short snippet on there by some priest about how MS has had another "wife" for years and 2 kids. But still, it was awful.
That is garbage.

I talked to a close relative via cell phone today - she was lamenting the fact that she was having a hard time finding a suitable outfit for Easter Sunday. No larger concern in her life than that. I have a hard time understand this kind of thing with her regularly, that her life rarely expands beyond the view from her kitchen window, but it seems a bit more poignant tonight.

Yes. AP is Associated Press. This stuff extends beyond the news people to the usual suspects in the syndicated commentariat as well. Sorry for any trouble my abbreviations casued.
