He's the Govenor. He's a Republican. He can't go around breaking laws ...... if you condone that kind of thing...perhaps you should join the Democratic party.

Well, YOU just take YOUR rationality, Mr. Rational Guy, and go somewhere else. We don't need no stinking rationality in this issue, YOU HEAR ME? This is an EMOTIONAL issue, Buster, so you just GET HYSTERICAL NOW, or ELSE!!!!!!

People who use this tragedy as an excuse to bash a President who has taken unprecedented measures to stand for a culture of life disgust me.
Amen - wonder if some are DU trolls intent on pushing the illusion that if Terri dies - it's all jeb and "W's" fault - this is exactly how the lib/socialist's operate. It sickens me to see how many on our side swallow this cr*p

I am not a troll. You can search my past posts to view my support for President Bush. I voted for President Bush in 2000 & 2004. Both Jeb Bush & George Bush have Executive power to take custody over Terri. Do they have the political will to do it?

If I might add, 1. Terri is not sinless. 2. Terri's suffering is not meritorious for herself or others. 3. Terri and Greer both need a savior. 4. This situation is bad enough without having to make inane and blasphemour comparisons between the suffering of Terri and the suffering of my beautiful Lord Jesus Christ.

Yep, it's the DCF's lawyers who would be better skilled, IMO.

I hear an old probate judge.

Sheesh. What twisted, tortured maze of law made him more powerful than the governor?

The principle of "probable cause" allows the police (read: Attorney General, Florida) to take urgent action to enforce law, to investigate, to save life, to secure evidence, and to interrogate witnesses.

Michael Schiavo should be investigated for attempted murder, based upon medical and police records during Terri's "collapse," plus nurses' testimony, plus the evidence one nurse presented (empty vial of insulin in trash basket).

They should act summarily, to secure Terri as potential victim, as bodily evidence, and as potential witness.

That is what the Executive Branch of the State of Florida can and must now do.

I understand the sentiment. believe me, this is tearing my heart out. I refuse to be one of those that looks to pin the blame on good people because I feel helpless though. Too many are doing this.

If Terri's blood is on Jeb's hands, then there's just as much on your hands.

No one said that. Keep your ignorant remarks to yourself. You are making foolish suppositions. At least you're consistent.

All of them should be lambasting Flordia for the torture of this innocent and helpless person!

Considering they have demonized the US for sanctions in Iraq which they say "starved thousands of Iraqis." [Even though we did not starve them, and Saddam did] wasn't that merciful of us to painlessly remove them from such a miserable life in Iraq?

Even my 16 year old, who I haven't been preaching this at, thinks the situation is unjust. And that's pretty amazing for a kid in that age bracket...

Jeb can pick her up no matter what Greer says. Period.<< Yes and he could have done that yesterday, but Jeb decided to wait for this hearing

Reno did it with little Elian.... I wonder what the reaction will be if Jeb uses the same tactics?

And what about President Bush?!? How in the HELL can he be in Texas, for the holiday weekend, enjoying time with his family, when there is a woman dying???? I hope they aren't eating or drinking at all, or my support for the Bush family is OVER!!!!!!!

ahh - did you miss the part where Bush flew back from Texas SOLELY to sign the bill to save Terri - the bill that he was instrumental in getting the congress/senate to out thru???

And signed in the wee hours of the morning>

Are you a troll or just dense

I don't think most of these 'blame the Bush brothers' posters are ON our side.

Me either. They're just idiot agitators.

I agree with you, and I'm an atheist, for pete's sake. Every thread seems to have someone comparing Terri to Jesus. I can't believe that.

A county judge in our area but still 40 miles away once decided that all speeding tickets more than 5 miles over the limit had to appear in person, no exceptions. My then 8.5-months-pregnant wife got a ticket, and we tried to pay the fine ($65) via mail because she could not travel. So the judge issued a warrant, and two deputy to arrest her.

We felt so bad for the deputies who were so embarassed at having to arrest an obviously pregant woman. I followed them down, and we paid the bail, spent the night at a friend's who lived in the area, and went home. Our daughter was born four days later.

I find a lot of the kids today seem to have more brains than some adults.
