"According to the article, Gov. Jeb Bush has filed for custody of Terri and waiting for Greer to respond. I think Jeb knows he's dealing with a loose cannon and doesn't want to do anything to set him off." Set this crackpot off? He is already set off. This judge should be impeached. President Bush should disband a portion of the 11th circuit, which he can do. Then create new positions in the 11th and fill with responsible judges.

What Terri needed was a legal team that knew what they were doing in federal court...

If she were a murderer sentenced to death, she could argue for a new trial on account of inadequate counsel.

Fox news reporting the judges decision is delayed for an hour or two, maybe more!

It's just speculation, but he maybe running the clock down -- I wonder if he received a telephone call from the hospice about deterioration in Mrs. Schiavo's condition.

You are correct. My bad.

Also, that headline doesn't seem to cover the ruling we're waiting for...

Supreme Court rejects Schiavo parents' appeal

On another legal front, Florida Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer on Thursday denied a petition of the state Department of Children and Families -- and Gov. Jeb Bush -- to take Schiavo into state custody.

Judge Greer on Thursday denied the state petition to put Schiavo into state custody but is now considering a petition by the DCF.

Everyone is asking for Gov. Bush to take action, he HAS taken action over and over. What is it that you expect him to do? I have this memory of the troops taking Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint...Is that the action you propose? He will not get past the police guarding the place, he cannot get a court order, that must be the only option...storming the place with armed force. And a governor in jail the outcome?

I just heard on FoxNews that this next Greer ruling could be another hour or TWO! This innocent girl is dying. This is the worst I've ever felt about this government in my 58 years! To see evil win like this is disgusting. How can any good people allow these evil judges and the evil husband win. It's a bad Easter week in America!

Kind of like Roosevelt trying to add another 6 to the supreme court so he could appoint judges who agreed with him

,i> thought he seemed to gently suggest that Terri's parents didn't have the best lawyering.

Can the parents file for an appeal based on incompetency of their lawyer? Isn't that what Scott Peterson is claiming in his first appeal?

Herr Greer would rule earlier, but he's famished, and he needed time for a lunch break.

Why is it delayed? The judge has already made his decision. His only reason to delay is to give more time for Terri to die.
