You're right, this is far too subtle
Well, for me it is ;0)
JEB BUSH SAYS HE WON'T VIOLATE GREER'S COURT ORDER
"The requested intervention ... appears to be brought for the purpose of circumventing the courts' final judgment and order setting the removal date in violation of the separate of powers doctorate," Greer ruled Thursday.
Bush said he was expecting Greer to rule against the state and he planned to appeal. He added that he won't violate Greer's order by sending state officers to take custody of Schiavo under a law that allows the Department of Children & Families to act in emergency situations of adult abuse.
Bush's legal team is still frantically poring over state laws to see if there's another way to intervene while appealing Greer's decision. Attorneys for the parents declined comment on Greer's latest ruling. Lawyers for the husband didn't return a phone message for comment.
In his ruling, Greer said an affidavit from neurologist William Cheshire, who believes that Schiavo is "minimally conscious," was not enough to set aside the judgment in the long-running legal case that established Terri Schiavo's right to have the feeding tube removed.
"Theresa Marie Schiavo cannot live without a nutrition and hydration tube and Dr. Cheshire does not suggest otherwise. By clear and convincing evidence, it was determined she did not want to live under such burdensome conditions and that she would refuse such medical treatment/assistance," Greer wrote.
The governor's brother, President Bush, supports Schiavo's parents as they pursue other options to keep her alive, but he does not plan to take any further legal steps, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Thursday.

Don't hold back! Let us know how you really feel!
???????? It's 5 o'clock somewhere, I suppose. ;-)
When it's just Medved, I love listening to him and he makes great sense...I get to where I can't stand a lot of his guests, though...
"Medved" translates to the word "bear" in Russian. I believe his parents were Ukrainian.
Sorry, a typo.
Your comments reminded me of my Grandfather when my Grandmother died. The family was sitting around the funeral home on the night reserved for immediate family not saying a word and all of a sudden by Grandfather cracked a joke which made some of us laugh while one of my stuffed shirt aunts was appalled. She got a lecture from her Dad that her Mom would not have wanted everyone to be sitting there mourning her but remembering the great times we all had. It broke the ice and everyone started telling stories that were funny.
The funeral home director walked in and said he can always tell a family where there is a lot of love because they are the ones that will laugh about the little things that they remember of their loved ones. It wasn't that we didn't mourn my Grandmother, it was that we also remembered the many special things she had done for us over her life.
When my Dad died it was hard, but I kept remembering how he was laughing at my having to be all dressed up for several days, as he knows I am most comfortable in jeans. Even though my dress was part black, it also had gold in it so not to be all black because he detested all black and mourning.
I grew up in a family that taught me in tough times, laugher was the best medicine and that you put your faith in God that things will work out -- not sometimes how you pray but how they are supposed to happen.
This is a watershed moment for this Country and unlike some, I believe it will make us a stronger Country in the end as some people that were not pro-life before are now saying it is wrong to starve someone to death.
Greer is one of two things IMHO -- an evil person (think that is a given) or he and Felos are covering up a lot more than Terri's case (which I also believe)!
To me Greer/Felos are evil personified!
"Then why did Judge Greer decree that she could not be given anything by mouth? Certainly he's not condemning to death all infants and paraplegics!"
Looking at the reports of the swallowing tests, it is apparent that she cannot swallow by mouth. Giving her food or water by mouth would cause aspiration pneumonia.
I know, a lot of people have said she can swallow, but I'm going by medical reports, not what someone heard that someone said.
He wants us to be on our knees in prayer for America. We need a spiritual revival in a serious way, and repentance from complacency and a disregard for the value of the life that He gives us.
I continue to pray that Terri's life be spared, but I am also praying that God uses whatever the outcome to bring America closer to His law and truth.
A statement I find myself in complete agreement with if by "does not affect the Will of God" you mean "the purposes of God born out of who He is".
The conundrum is that God created beings and gave them to ability to do things contrary to His character ... when I know as I am known I will understand this better.
So when is McCain going to call them "honorable men"?
Dan
Are you saying it's relative? That we can't be passionate about one person's unjust torture and death because in other situations many people died? Also, Gov Bush and Pres Bush both swore to uphold the constitution which states unequivocally that we all, even Terri, have an unalienable right to life with which we are endowed by our Creator. Why is Terri's unalienable right being trampled on in the name of the "law" by ONE judge? If you start with relativism, then we shouldn't even worry about most crimes since usually, unless it's a mass murder, only one person is victimized. Why worry about the school shooting the other day, only 10 people died. Evil is evil, whether it involves one victim or 3,000.
"I am also praying that God uses whatever the outcome to bring America closer to His law and truth.
"
OK, but I hope you're not suggesting some sort of theocracy here. I'm afraid that I'd have to oppose that pretty strongly.
Right! That's why she been imprisoned in that hospice for years, because he's been working so hard on the case. Give me a break. Read this. People were writing about these things in 2003. ---http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1369595/posts --- "Was Terri Schiavo Beaten in 1990?" If Jeb's been working hard on this case, there in NOTHING in history to show for it.
You may not give a fig about our constitution or the rule of law. Thank goodness our leaders do. --
save the self-righteousness for someone else.
Laughter, grief, and tears and love...all go together.
