The executive and legislative branches have to use their powers if they expect to prevent usurpations by the judicial branch. If they are unwilling to exercise the powers that they have, they have no right to complain. It is a simple as that.

No, they don't, but we still do, at least for the moment. I'm confident that after Terri is dead and flushed down the memory hole, they'll all get together (judges too) and plug that little loophole.

Rescuing her would be number one on my list of options.

Right, and taking your chances with a JURY, while making her Mother next of Kin, is the only 100% way to do that.

God is sovereign and His will is never thwarted by man

I can't agree with you there.

If I can't do anything contrary to God's will I am not a free moral agent. Are my sins God's will? Please clarify what you mean by "His will is never thwarted by man"

I know... But the hysterics, and even demands for the United Nations to intervene, from so-called conservatives, is VERY disturbing...

I haven't read every post, but I didn't see any. I saw a note on one of the threads today from the mod not to do that. If you see a post advocating violence, you should press the abuse button.

just a theological label. I don't have a hissy fit when folks call me Calvinist.

Nothing wrong with being a Calvinist. Some of my best friends are Calvinists ;0)

This constant drumbeat about living wills is beginning to sound an awful lot like blaming the victim. Terri, a lovely 26 year old woman, didn't write down the words "feed me". Wonderful post!

Yes, I remember that! The British matched wave after wave of zulus with waves of bullets.

It's not the only way, and I don't think it would be my way.

Jeb and DCF do not have the authority to walk in and remove Terri immediately!

Until SCOTUS invalidates the PL passed by Congress, DoJ or any Executive agency directed to by the executive (either FLA or US) Does.

The Branches of Gov't are Co Equal. The Judiciary needs to be reminded of that, and In FLA, the Judiciary finds itself in a 1 against 2 minority.

How do you think the sub-conversation on this thread, about the Zulus, started? Just one example... There are others, and I'm sure they will be pulled eventually.

I tend not to hit 'Abuse' though... I prefer people see how nutty others can be...

"There are several examples on this very thread."

And that doesn't count the many pulled posts. They're everywhere in these threads.

I know this is emotional but to advocating the Bush Family take the law into their own hands -- what kind of precedent would that set.

The precedent of saving a human life?

The alternative is setting a precedent for sitting back and watching a helpless, innocent person die.

I'll take precedent #1.

"Congress, even the president and the governor, could do nothing." Petty judges slapped down Congress and the president.

So what do we do when a county judge runs amok? There must be some check on this kind of abuse of power. Greer should be impeached, criminally prosecuted, and sued by the Schindlers for every cent MS has secreted away for him.

Precious Heavenly Father - We are bombarding Heaven and not giving up - like that woman in Your Holy Word who kept badgering the Judge until she finally got her wish - Please save our little sister, Theresa Marie Schiavo, from out of the clutches of the evil ones who want to take her innocent life. In the Glorious Name of Jesus Christ, our Master. Amen.

"Can we all get together and shout all of this since none of us are being heard -- Jeb and DCF do not have the authority to walk in and remove Terri immediately!"

We have, and often. It goes unheard by people who don't even know what the law is. Maybe it's the fault of the public schools for not teaching them about our system of government. I don't know, but I learned all this stuff by the time I was out of High School.

True... However, a flaw in FR software, if one is clever enough, makes pulled posts readable ;)
