Again, then get your friends together and go do it. Go get a copy of Soldier of Fortune Magazine and hire some mercenaries.

Your straw man argument is growing tiring. I think that Jeb Bush would be within the law to place Terri in protective custody. I would support them for the rest of my life for that decision But going from there to private citizens taking up arms... you're just trying to cloud the issue.

Actually, one of the neatest things about the movie Zulu(s)(?) was the depiction of how the concept of the soldiers strategy of going forward by dropping to one knee, firing, standing up, next row drop to one knee firing. Like a track on a tank. The did a "profile" shot that shows the mechanics of it, not just that frontal shot where you can't truly see the advance.

Have you ever heard of Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, George Washington and their associates? They were not conservative tories. They were radical men of action.

" Did you hear about the lady who was arrested at an abortion clinic for trying to stop her daughter from having an abortion?"

From the 1963 congressional record, Communist Goals:
41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents.

To say, "This man is an Arminian," has the same effect on many hearers, as to say, "This is a mad dog." It puts them into a fright at once: They run away from him with all speed and diligence; and will hardly stop, unless it be to throw a stone at the dreadful and mischievous animal. - John Wesley

Not very nice thing to say, ya know.

So, you find Self Defense, or the defense of ones helpless child to be a flawed concept?

No, I don't.

Is MS not on TV, advocating for Terri's death?

Yes.

Has he not withheld treatments that may have made the feeding tube moot?

That is my understanding.

Just because he is using the sytem to Commit murder, does not make it something different merely because it lacks Violence.

I'm not sure it lacks violence.

Adolf Eichmann never shot a soul...He only Followed the law, as it existed...Did he not murder?

Yes, he did.

I don't know what I would do at this point if I were Terri's parent. Rescuing her would be number one on my list of options.

Too much playing with symbolism is bad for the brain...

I thought that the President and the Governor were supposed to uphold law and order. Not just specific rulings on specific cases.

Seems to me when a citizen is being starved to death (for whatever reason the Court based its ruling), the starving is a crime.

Does that make sense? Because nothing else is making sense to me.
thx

There are still some of us on here that don't want the Rule of Law violated and I am one of those. We are not being heard above the rhetoric I am seeing from screen names I have never seen before!

"But Jesus also BROKE THE LAW. He healed on the Sabbath. He also drove the money-changers out of the Temple WITH WHIPS. His Apostles and subsequent martyrs then BROKE THE LAW by preaching and practicing the Christian faith. "

Yes, he did. But he was Jesus, wasn't he? Did he not also tell his followers to obey the law? They were not Jesus.

We could play this game for a long time, but it's irrelevant to the situation at hand, isn't it?

Where did you see anything or anyone advocating "armed rebellion"?

It's all over this site, spiralsue. Many FReepers have called for actual acts of violence to resolve this issue... Military Family Member isn't exaggerating. There are several examples on this very thread.

This is madness.

Yes it is. The newswoman on Fox just said it all (paraphrasing): "Congress, even the president and the governor, could do nothing." Petty judges slapped down Congress and the president. Now that's scary. Far more scary than any action the president or governor might have taken.

Yes, and they also ended up with an entirely new government many years after hundreds of people died.

I am not saying that was a bad thing, just that it happened. Do you want that to happen again? Fine. Let me know, and I will drive down to Florida with my camera a tap recorder so I can write about it in my paper.

You protest one individual taking the law into his own hands, and your solution to the problem is to take the law into your own hands.

Can we all get together and shout all of this since none of us are being heard -- Jeb and DCF do not have the authority to walk in and remove Terri immediately!

"There is the will of the people, hitherto safe in its box. It will, eventually, and hopefully soon, be let loose of its constraints to impose itself upon its foes.
"

Oh, my! So you're looking to impose Christianity on non-Christians? No thanks.

If Terri's blood is on Jeb's hands, then there's just as much on your hands.

Huh? Why would you write that? Unless beyond the sea is really Michael Schiavo. You're goofy.
