"Quote" is a verb that sloppy writers have used as a noun for an unfortunately long time, and I see no end to it. That doesn't mean that purists must bow to it.

I reject the usage.
You can put "ain't" and such in the dictionary. Doesn't mean I'll recognize it.
Stinking liberal dictionary, anyway. Is it in the original Webster's?
