"Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake."
This may or may not be the verse you are looking for. Christ was describing to His disciples the conditions that would be in existance here on earth shortly before His return. Those living who know the Lord and attempt to obey him will be afflicted by the vast majority, who never have and never will, recognize Him as the Son of God and their savior as well. When they attempt to do right, they will be hated, scorned, and delivered up to certain death of their physical bodies.
Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold........Well we can see the love of the "many" waxing cold, playing out before us right now. In Romans 1, and 2Tim 3, Saint Paul describes these people as without "natural affection". That is so clear.
Those we should be protecting and caring for, the very young, the elderly, and the mentally impaired, should always be in the forefront of our consciousness and ones to be protected and cared for, nurtured and loved. Instead, there are the fiends and ghouls like Michael, and Greer, and Felos, who want to rid them from among us. Utterly disgraceful and wicked behavior is justified. I am beyond words with the grief this has caused withing me. I am shaken to my very core and what I see going on around me.

Thanks PJ, those are all excellent passages describing our " state" right now. However the specific passage I think that Saundra was referring to says something about those doing evil will think they are doing God a favor.......still looking.
