I'm also struck by how much I agree with David Bois of all people. He's saying that they lost in Fed Court because they did not argue the legal case properly. They basically made a weak legal case but this time they argued for what Congress passed, a de novo review.

Unfortunately, although they sited new evidence that Terri is not in PVS, it wasn't clear whether they are also arguing the false conclusion that this was Terri's wishes.

I like Jay Secolov(?), but Bois seems to be a sharper, better lawyer. Too bad he's not working for the Schindlers.

It seems to me that the Schindlers have made their biggest mistake in their choice of legal reps and spokesman. Randall Terry is the wrong choice. Mr. Operation Rescue is a turn off to many that might be on our side. You do not have to be an absolute pro lifer to be for Terri. I am 100% in the Terri camp and am "moderately pro choice" as Condi would say. Randall Terry, although he has behaved very well, is all wrong. Much in the same way Alan Keyes would be.

You're right about the Schindlers' unfortunate choices of legal representation. David Boies would've kicked b***!

No kidding Boise is a darn good lawyer, no wonder why Gore hired him. I wish the Shindlers would have gotten him for their lawyer, although I think Gibbs has done a superb job and has been there day in and day out fo the Shindlers!

I completely agree with you with the quality of representation, but note that the legal/publicity support they have had was obtained by default, unless you can name some other better hotshots that volunteered but were rejected by the Schindlers.
