Well it seems something did. Terri still alive.
I left Fox News while they were on a commercial. I was flipping through the stations looking for current info about Terri/SCOTUS.
I made the mistake of stopping on CNN. Some truly obnoxious person, he did not appear to be an occasional guest--but a show 'regular', was so thoroughly obnoxious--and the rest of the set was laughing!! that I couldn't believe my eyes and ears!
They read ONLY e-mails against the Schindler family...it was truly disturbing...
How do they maintain the small audience they have? (rhetorical question, of course!)
Judge Greer does whatever Michael wants him to do. MIchael was just talking about the rule of law.
MICHAEL SCHIAVO, WHY DOH'T YOU TELL 970 WFLA RADIO THAT YOU VIOLATED OVER 353 guardianship rules and you are still running your mouth as guardian? HUH, MICHAEL???? The rule of law goes both ways, ADULTERER AND THIEF.
You were followed home????!!!!
I suspect the recent judges know those judges in the past have been wrong but are pulling together to cover themselves. It's always been a rarity for decisions to be overturned. With all the media on this case, they MUST cya.
I don't know if it was attempted or not. There are two things that have not been addressed that have been really buggy to me.
Greer not recusing himself as requested.
Greer never addressing the motion to remove MS as guardian.
It's like he just ignores those cause if he ruled on them, they'd be overturned by even his buds at 2nd DCA? so to avoid doing what he knows he would have to do , he jsut avoids it completely.
I don't know if you can make an appeal on something that has never been ruled on.
Anyone else with a better take on this than me? Please step in.
Knowing that I was taking on the express wishes of a Governor, the US Congress, and the President of the United States, I would be in need of a bit of rehydration myself.
.........add James KING to that list to FV. He is a Imposter.A RINO!!! His statement yesterday was the lowest of low. I cannot quote it verbatum but basically saying, " I cannot believe that conservative Christians are fighting Terri's death!! I mean don't we ALL want to go to heaven"?? Something to that effect!! SICK!
The world is watching and even Europe is looking at the US with scorn. Karen Hughes and Condi Rice will have their work cut out for them to convince the world that the United States is good. Good luck ladies, THE UNITED STATES IS BEHAVING BADLY RIGHT NOW.
There is no obvious link to the pleadings on that page.
It's frightening to think that you could be mistreated by the courts and no one can/will do what "ought" to be done.
What they're doing to Terri is a medical "lynching". Disabled and vulnerable people are the new minority. No one can convince me that there won't be many more after her if the judicial branch isn't taught a strong swift lesson.
Perhaps Governor Bush should be less direct in his efforts to save Terri. Florida law only allows termination of life support for patients with a specific diagonisis of PVS. The diagnosis for Terri was made many years ago. Perhaps the Florida legislature should amend that statute permitting such terminations of life support and add a requirement that, before such a life support termination can be carried out, a corroborative diagnosis of PVS must be made within six months prior to the life support termination.
The major concern is that Terri's life may be terminated based on a flawed diagnosis...such a statute would give the Governor a chance to save her, and would prevent future abuses in the future.

Make sure you check your tail lights before heading home tonight and that your signal lights are working. Better yet, get a taxi.
BTW I don't really see how the SC can decide not to take this case. It is a fundamental issue because it regards the powers of the legislative vs. judicial branch. Either the law is constitutional and must be obeyed, or it is not, a subject on which no one has ruled. In fact Whittmore ruled that for the purposes of the TRO he presumed it was constitutional, and that he just was not going to comply - which really deserves a slap-down.
in terms of ducking hard issues, it ought to be an easy decision, actually, which is to remand it back to federal court for a hearing on the merits as the f'in law requires. I am sure that Scalia, Rhenquist and Thomas can figure out how to state that in a slightly more eloquent but eqully biting manner.
I think so too, if they deny, this will be even more of a travesty of justice...the appeal reaks of conspiracy...with a judge, husband, lawyer and Hospice all likely profiting....this appeal is more than just error, they are saying in effect, the first trial was rigged in Schiavo's favor...
A stay and a grant of cert is the last opportunity for the judicial branch to avoid a constitutional crisis. I am sure Rhenquist, Scalia and Thomas understand that fact.

Any way you look at it, the Schindler's have a whopping big case for a law suit and I hope they get MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!! Start with the hospice; they've got insurance.
When I emailed the President, I asked him why were the people in Iraq were having elections. Apparently going to the polls is a waste of time if the judges run this country.
