I found the affadavit quite detailed, compelling, with numerous footnotes. "Obectionable hearsay" is a far cry from accurate, IMHO.
Rush made a good point today. Those who are saying Terri is feels no pain are the same people saying the process is euphoric. Which is it? If she can experience euphoria she can certainly experience pain.
The affadavit is like a smack across Judge Greers face. The Doc reads the Ct scan and says there is cortex. Nobody knows how much cortex is required for consciousness. That combined with his impressions formed in 90 minutes is more than enough to blow away clear and convincing evidence of PVS.
For pete's sake, the PVS expert that testified for Schiavo only spent 45 minutes there waving a damn balloon around.
Well you are entitled to your opinion. Frightening that folks pay me the big bucks for mine on this sort of thing. There are a few useful bits to the affidavit, althought even there some it is is rather conclusory, like she smiled at me.
I DO NOT SEE HOW THEY CAN SAY THE ALLEDGED TREATMENT OF THOSE PRISONERS WAS INHUMANE AND TURN AROUND AND STARVE A PERSON TO DEATH.
This is beyond belief. It is high time we start looking at our judicial system. After all, the courts are not and should not be the end all of everything.
And the persons responsible should be charged with murder, pure and simple

Well, this beats all. Lanny Davis (yes, THAT Lanny Davis) is on O'Reilly eloquently arguing FOR Terri Schiavo's life.
He is talking common sense, an uncommon thing these days. But his shot at conservatives ruined it. I understand it though, politics is after all politics.
OMG this is a MUST READ! Is there any way to transfer this thing into a post? My pc won't copy it so I'd have to type it out by hand, and arthritis makes me too danged slow. This is INCREDIBLE, and the info needs to get out!

My thought was that, if it's so euphoric, why don't we use it to execute murderers and put animals out of their meisery?
I wonder how many defense attorneys will be using this as a defense for clients who "help" someone die.
