Second, Third Nurse Accuse Michael Schiavo
Two additional nurses have filed affidavits in the Terri Schiavo case that corroborate bombshell allegations by nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who went public on Tuesday with claims that Michael Schiavo had deliberately withheld treatment from his disabled wife.
Heidi Law was a certified nursing assistant at the Palm Garden Convalescent Center in Largo, Fla., where she treated Mrs. Schiavo in 1997.
Story Continues Below
In an affidavit filed with the court in August 2003, Ms. Law maintained:
"I know that Terri did not receive routine physical therapy or any other kind of therapy. I was personally aware of orders for rehabilitation that were not being carried out. Even though they were ordered, Michael would stop them."
Law continued:
"Michael ordered that Terri receive no rehabilitation or range of motion therapy. I and [another CNA] would give Terri range of motion anyway, but we knew we were endangering our jobs by doing so.
"We usually did this behind closed doors," Law said, because "we were so fearful of being caught ... we were always looking out for Michael, because we knew that, not only would Michael take his anger out on us, but he would take it out more on Terri. We spoke of this many times."
"At least three times during any shift where I took care of Terri, I made sure to give Terri a wet washcloth filled with ice chips, to keep her mouth moistened.
"On three or four occasions I personally fed Terri small mouthfuls of Jello, which she was able to swallow and enjoyed immensely. I did not do it more often only because I was so afraid of being caught by Michael."
Like nurse Iyer, Law suspected that Michael was mistreating Terri, noting in her sworn statement:
"Several times when Michael visited Terri during my shift, he went into her room alone and closed the door. This worried me because I didnt trust Michael.
"When he left, Terri was very agitated, was extremely tense with tightened fists and sometimes had a cold sweat. She was much less responsive than usual and would just stare out the window, her eyes kind of glassy. ...
"We were convinced that he was abusing her, and probably saying cruel, terrible things to her because she would be so upset when he left."
"The Palm Gardens staff, myself included, were just amazed that a 'Do Not Resuscitate' order had been put on Terris chart, considering her age and her obvious cognitive awareness of her surroundings."
Carolyn Johnson, a certified nursing assistant who worked at the Sabal Palms nursing home in Largo, said Terri's mistreatment went back to at least 1993.
"During this assignment I took care of Terri Schiavo several times," Johnson said in her own August 2003 affidavit.
"I learned, as part of my training, that there was a family dispute and that the husband, as guardian, wanted no rehabilitation for Terri. This surprised me, as I did not think a guardian could go against a doctor's orders like that, but I was assured that a guardian could and that this guardian had gone against Terri's doctor's orders."
Johnson recalled: "No one was allowed to just go in and see Terri. Michael had a visitors list. We all knew that we would lose our jobs if we did not do exactly what Michael said to do."
Johnson continued:
"I remember seeing Michael Schiavo only once the entire time I worked at Sabal Palms, but we were all aware that Terri was not to be given any kind of rehabilitative help, per his instructions.
"Once, I wanted to put a cloth in Terri's hand to keep her hand from closing in on itself, but I was not permitted to do this," Johnson said, "as Michael Schiavo considered that to be a form of rehabilitation."
If you can believe it this quote is on EarthDwellers profile:
"I am not guilty of the common error of judging another by myself. I readily believe in anothers disposition that is contrary to my own. And though I find myself pledged to one particular way of life, I do not require, as many do, that others also follow it. Rather, I accept and understand a thousand different ways of living and, contrary to most men, more readily recognize differences than uniformity amongst us."----
Hypocracy!!!!
Do you mind listing all of the people involved in the cover-up/conspiracy? I'm losing track.
I read old affidavits submitted to Greer at the time that the Schindlers petitioned Greer for Michael's removal as her guardian. Iyer was one; Trudy somebody; and a third one. Greer ignored these and refused to remove Michael as her guardian. I think two of these are two more nurses than the 3 from long ago. I can't tell you where to look because I followed a link on a Terri thread on here. Try googling in nurses/affidavits and look for older dates as I don't remember any names except Carla Iyer and this is at least her 2nd affidavit.
He may have been a bit rash in saying it the way he did, but your voacl opinion DOES reflect the DNC.
Stay a while and read what has to be said.
Welcome to FR

Which opinions do you speak of?
My bad, wrong poster. I was following the guy who posted to you, and found the wrong thread.
Welcome to FR anyway :)
(see, we make mistakes just like humans sometimes!) :p
Posted on another thread:
One of my friends called the Right-to-Life Committee, and they said to call President Bush and tell him to put Terri in protective custody while the case is going thru the courts. His phone comment line # is 202-456-1414; e-mail president@whitehouse.gov. Please spread the word.

It is addicting!!
OHF, within this last hour I called Jeb Bush's office (850-488-4441) and was able to get right through.
The focus of my call was solely on the point of fraud on the court which HINO has committed. There are three elements of proof for this claim -- and fraud on a court can reverse a judgment. I cited the three to the lady who took my call:
1. HINO's inadvertent admission last Friday, 3/18/05 on the Larry King Live program
( http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0503/18/lkl.01.html ):
We didn't know what Terri wanted, but this is what we want...
2. Cindy Shook's testimony in which she cited that HINO told her multiple times that Terri and he had never discussed the subject and he didn't know what Terri's thoughts were.
3. The trial testimony of Terri's best HS girlfriend. They had a discussion after watching the Karen Quinlan movie. Her friend said Terri's opinion was totally pro-life and she recalled/quoted Terri saying "Where there's life, there's hope."
The lady staffer was very polite, seemed interested enough to record my name, and said she would pass the information on to Gov. Bush.
I urge all pro-Terri freepers to also call about this fact.
Since Gov. Bush till now has generally (dutifully) chosen to pursue actions through the courts, I also ask that Florida freepers passionately, emphatically, strenuously request that Gov. Bush (as executive guardian for Terri) issue an emergency petition to a court about this fraud on the court aspect.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE everyone, call and cite the above elements of HINO fraud on the court.
I am listening right now to my SF radio station's replay of Sean Hannity and he's cited the names of additional persons to whom HINO admitted that he didn't know what Terri's opinion is on the subject.
Judge Greer is one of the MAIN COLLUDERS in this CORRUPTION SCHEME. Greer, Schiavo & Felos are three very very WICKED MEN. They have other colluders as well, ie: Mary Labyak, Cranston, the professional whore who prostitues his profession by false testimony; and several other relatives and associates of these men and women in STRATEGIC places. I believe there are other Doctors involved also. It's beyond my comprehension that a Governor and his Department of DCF with this kind of information, didn't INSTITUTE a PROTECTIVE ORDER basically several years ago. It has been a Kangaroo court all along. Will the Governor move NOW??? How can he LOGICALLY not?
The Federal Legislation mandated that the Courts take a FRESH look at the ENTIRE case NOT the issues Greer MANIPULATED. This is making me crazy. I can't understand how the citizens and the legislators, armed with this information, can just fiddle around and do NOTHING. Even while this "phony Judicial review" is going on, Michael Schiavo is attempting to MURDER Terri. I'm not just referring to food and water which is SERIOUS ENOUGH but the administration of morphine. I was an RN, I know what Morphine does and so does M. Schiavo. This is like witnessing a horror show only it's TRUE and it's taking place IN YOUR FACE MR. AND MRS. AMERICA.
I don't think Greer would even allow these nurse's Affidavits to be included in the Court record. He was NOT prepared to admit ANY evidence that went against the ruling he had already PREDETERMINED TO MAKE.
GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY, DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THIS CASE. It's ALL there. Or were you sent by the Schiavo cabal?
Wholeheartedly agreed!
This news is two years old! None of the nurses in this article are credible, and one of the nurses mentioned was fired over this matter.
The deliberate disobedience of the legal guardian's direction of treatment by the nurses should be cause for them to lose their nursing licenses.
