Tonight it is, March 22, 2005, over five days since Theresa Marie Schiavo commenced her ordeal of purposeful and legally sanctioned dehydration and starvation. We await a decision from the three judge panel from Eleventh Judicial Circuit as to her fate, as her family struggles with seeing Terri's physical health deteriorate.

I have no clue. I suppose it's about Terri but since everything I hope for is seeming to go awry, he might be going to give clemency to the dang gators that are being captured in Miami!
I know what I'd like him to say....

Jeb will say that he and President Bush have done everything they could do under the law to help Terri. He'll say that he feels bad for Terri's family, but there is nothing more he can do. He's washing his hands of Terri, just like Pontius Pilate.

and all the other people in her situation,
and all the families conflicted by end of life decisions,
and all the legislators who have to vote on these things

Lord, we are frail, sinful, and likely to make the wrong choices many times in our lives.

The ones who were against it appear to still be against it. I haven't been able to keep track of it. They are turning the bill into something it is not and acting like it would be the most horrible thing to ever happen.

Who is this? "Flaws: doesn't define what a conflict is. Bill says if there is a conflict, tube cannot be removed. Another flaw, doesn't allow for an oral directive." You can say it loud and clear, but if it's not in writing, then "my will is thwarted and overwritten." What if it's against your religion to be hooked up to tubes (Jehovah's Witness, Christian Scientist)? Your will will be overwritten. This bill overturns all of our living wills. "Ironically, the only person it does not help Terri Schiavo."
