The Catholic Worker technically considers itself a Catholic anarchist organization - that is, believing that the only government is that of God, and has a sort of distributist economic vision that in practice is highly left wing (and, oddly enough, leads to tight government control, but that's a contradiction they never seem to have examined).
Some of the people in it are quite left wing, while some are more of the "Catholic libertarian" type. In this case, I'm very pleased to see that some of them have a strong pro-life orientation; there was a while, during and after the Vietnam war, when the organization was essentially just a left-wing draft dodgers haven, with the opinions you would expect these people to have. But obviously not now, which is encouraging.
Where are the priests and bishops?
