"Has anyone else noticed how all the posters with 'doc' or 'MD' in their screen name are silent. I wonder why?"

I don't know. Are there Freepers who are MDs? If so, then they aren't participating in these threads. Most doctors I know would be very, very hesitant to make statements about a patient they had not examined personally. That's a wise position, IMO.

I've noticed that some of the doctors in the Senate and House are careful about what they say and don't say. But some of them have expressed their opinions very clearly and very bravely.

On one program the other night, the host was interviewing two Congresscritters.

The anti-Terri guest said something to this effect. "We aren't doctors, and we aren't knowledgeable enough to form an opinion about Terri."

The pro-Terri guest had his turn and said something to the effect of, "I have practiced medicine for XX years and I think Terri should have been treated better."

Finally .. real men who are brave enough to stick out their necks for a real human in distress.

Meanwhile, Dianne Feinsteirn is busily trying to make sure American horsemeat doesn't get fed to foreigners and Barney Frank and Robert Wexler have co-sponsored a similar bill in the House.
