Prayer Request - Vanity (sick child)

My son, Henry, was admitted to the ICU a week ago with Strep Pneumonia. He's had a very rough go of things - Saturday was particulalry bad for him. I thought we were going to lose him. He's two years old and has already had open-heart surgery. He's been riding a real roller coaster and has almost no room to get worse.

Continued prayers for Henry. I've walked your path both with living in a PICU/NICU and doctors fiddling with vent settings. Be strong - you've got prayers holding you up.

Another fairly stable day for Henry.

They think he might have more bugs growing, and have done a culture to see what that might be. The doctor feels his lungs have been badly damaged by the strep a pneumonia he has and that his recovery will take a long time.

He also told me Henry can't take another bad setback.

He's on more antibiotics and other meds now to try an nip anything else he might have in the bud.

The short version: the prayers and good thoughts worked - he is doing much better now. He opened his eyes for the first time in two weeks yesterday - he's going to be ok.
