Evil is just around the corner. Reminds me of this scene from the Passion...
Victoria--you are absolutely correct.
Not enough have seen and UNDERSTAND the BATTLE BEHIND the BATTLE....
...There is an agenda with Greer etc. -- it's the case law "precedents" the would-be killers are trying to set for a larger euthanasia agenda. And THAT agenda is yet in the bigger anti-God, anti-sanctity-of-life agenda of totalitarians. Remove God, remove sanctity of life, consider people and their "God-Given rights" as property of the State and you have....1984. That's what's REALLY going on here.
1984. BRAVE NEW (COMMUNIST TOTALITARIAN) WORLD.
This is part of the Godless machinery to devalue life and make this NO LONGER a government OF, BY and FOR the PEOPLE. This is 'Brave New World' and '1984' totalitarian stuff, inhumane monsters hiding behind "law" playing God.
And from all the research Calpernia and others have posted, Greer probably thinks he IS God. The 'legally blind' issue is MOOT--Helen Keller was TOTALLY blind, deaf and mute--yet compassionate and humanitarian. Greer is sick and wicked and a tool being evilly used...KNOWINGLY.
If we re-frame the debate into a perspective of Culture of (Sanctity of) Life vs. Culture of Death, it would seem that FIRST we would seek to give nourishment to someone like this. It would seem that before we would 'pull the plug' we would also give access to OBJECTIVE PEOPLE who have no vested interest in Terri's life or death. It would seem--consider the amount of money invested to save seagulls and sea lions contaminated by tanker oil spills--we would make effort to rehabilitate somebody who has the fight, the spirit, the will to live.
Absolutely it is foolish--and costs increase geometrically--to try to continue human life to the 'cryogenic-and-hope-to-thaw' extreme. There are some who have been kept on life support whose brain (I am recalling from memory, not citing cases) had practically liquefied. This isn't compassion--this is denial. HOwever, I do NOT believe Terri is in this predicament. I believe there is a conspiracy among Greer, the HINO etc. to snuff this woman.
Let us all pray to God for wisdom and pray for ALL our leaders, elected and appointed, through somehow, God will work out His will. God is still sovereign; this is STILL One Nation, Under God.
TECHNOLOGY to help Terri:
One possible way to help Terri testify to Congress and write a needed BOOK about her ordeal, if God help her! she survives!
A computer mouse that is breathing-controlled, from the UK--
First Useable Breath-Controlled Writing System

There are MANY devices for the handicapped and learning-disabled that can be used to help Terri testify.

They have to kill her at this point. If Terri recovers now and testifies, their goose is cooked.
Imagine how Terri must feel right now, drugged, drying out. WHY?

SHE...SHE...the Judge is a woman. First name is Jane! " I believe that what you are saying is incorrect, I did hear this somewhere today, but have seen later pictures of a Definate guy, not named Jane.
It's a Clinton appointee. She could be an "it"
To: Lexinom
Yeah. You've just put your finger on it.

Either way works. I've dealt with lawyers and scumbags, including scumbags who were also lawyers.

Is the legislation in Congress for the purpose of letting the courts decide the Schiavo issue instead of letting the husband decide?

It's for allowing a Federal justice to review the case (which was previously under juristdiction of a Florida trial judge). As I understand it, Michael Schiavo petitioned the Florida (probate?) judge to determine whether or not Terri Schiavo would have wanted to live in her current condition (e.g., if she had executed a living Will, it would have contained Do Not Resucitate / No Tubes language.

How about a pacemaker? Perhaps we should "withdraw" the vice president's? Maybe someone heard him say that he only wanted his naturally functional heart to keep him alive and then such hearsay could be admitted as evidence and his pacemaker could then be removed. Sounds reasonable, no?

I feel it's worth repeating that his delay here is unconscionable. He should have ruled this morning, either way (Yesterday morning actually).

"Can you even accept the possibility that she did tell her husband and others she did not want to be kept alive artificial means?"
Can you accept the possibility that she did not? You would rather be safe than sorry by having the tube removed? Yikes.

We used to have the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Then we had the "right to choose." Now we have the "right to kill." What will we lose next? Liberty and justice for all.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised. Husband and hospice come immediately to mind. Felos and Hospice certainly. Not so much the husband. He's just a two-bit crook. Terri's hist first intended victim, and he's so inept he can't even give a softball interview without slipping up. But Felos, Greer, and Hospice have things set up sufficiently smoothly it's obvious they've done this before. It wouldn't make any sense for them to go through all the trouble of setting up a death mill for just one person.

I think this case shows that we've lost the justice for all part already too. When death row inmates have more rights than a disabled person, there is no justice left.
To: Williams
It almost seems like the judge doesn't want to rule.

I'm trying to find out, has he gone home for the night? Did the parents' attorney submit the supplemental brief on constitutionality? And is any news service covering this live so we can know when the judge quit work for the day?
