What can it hurt to keep badgering Jeb Bush? I won't look back and regret one of my phone calls or faxes. Often, our prayers aren't answered as soon as we'd like, but we keep praying. I am going to fax Jeb Bush and GWB and anyone else who even theoretically could help, and I'll do it as long as Terri is still alive. Michael Schaivo wants us to say, "Jeb doesn't care...don't bother calling again." Well, I won't give Michael Schiavo what he wants. If my efforts turn out to have been wasted, who cares?

[Knitting A Conundrum]

There is that part of me
that sees the darkness
swirling about the world,
the death from hate,
the death from anger
the death from self indulgence
the death from neglect,
and all those innocent deaths
for convenience,
to put one out of their pain,
supposedly
an act of mercy.

O Lord,
yet out of the darkness,
I see your cross
blazing in the night
a beacon
connecting heaven to earth,
and I know, once again,
that we have not been left forsaken.

Fill me with your light, Lord,
make me a lantern,
a channel
that will cascade that light
into the dark corners of my world
dispelling the night.
