The Republicans have decided to screw politics and to fight for the life of an innocent woman.

Surely you're not this naive.

I know you did not direct this at me, but lemme answer. Will Republicans benefit politically with their pro-life base for their heroic and passionate stance on this issue? Undoubtedly. Does that make their fight for Terri tainted? No.

When principle dovetails with policy and politics -- and the right thing is done in the end -- it is not a vice. Don't be so naive? You, sir. Don't be so cynical.

I am cynical. If the Republicans really cared about TS, this would have been done six weeks ago, or two months ago.

Tom DeLay waited until zero hour, with maximum media exposure, to trot out this bill.
