US House of Rep. in an Extraordinary Sunday night Session [Schiavo] (Bush Signs Schiavo bill)

Posted on 03/20/2005 6:03:40 PM PST by FoxPro

This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).

The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.

This is American history happening before your eyes.

Julia Carson--the "Why am I here?" lady.

"I want my Maypo---err, I am mean, Medicare"

Someone point her to the door. It would be a kindness.

There is a reason that Julie Carson of Indiana only speaks on the floor at midnight! Good gravy what a clown.

You missed the hyphenated-name blonde female Republican from Florida. She advocates "abandoning" patients when the patient hasn't left a written directive.

I don't remember seeing a blonde Congresswoman from Florida tonight. Do you mean the thin, young-ish woman with the long blonde wavy hair? (Her name is something like Wasserman-Schultz) She is a democRAT.

This lady doesn't look so good.

She sounds like Chef's mother from "South Park".

"Either we're a nation of laws, or we're not."

If obeying the "law" means starving someone to death by judicial fiat, I'd rather live in lawlessness.

Lord Jesus, I come to you on behalf of the vote that is to take place momentarily. I pray that each senator will be pricked in their conscience to do the right thing towards life. May YOUR WILL be done. Keep our eyes FOCUSED on YOU.
To God be the Glory. May YOUR NAME be PRAISED.
Amen

Kaptur is invoking God? A democrat party member invoking "god". Does ANYONE take a democrat saying any of that seriously?

NEWSFLASH KAPUT, if the parties agreed there would be no courts.

I've never seen her before.

How some of those people made it to D.C. mystifies me.

When you're standing before the Lord and he asks you why you let an innocent woman starve to death without making any effort to save her, just say it was all about "states rights." I'm sure he'll understand.

Right. No honoring Caesar here. Not when it involves letting a human being starve to death.

Either we're a nation of laws, or we're not.

Thank you old FRiend; and I mean that - we diasgree a lot, but good on you to answer.

To your response, I say, the rule of law is being observed in toto here. Congress is indeed acting under Constitutional authority to determine jurisdiction of federal courts.

That is what this is about.
