Terri's husband isn't the enemy, guardian says
Orlando Sentinel ^ | February 25, 2005 | Mike Thomas

Wolfson's report is based on court files, depositions, medical records and interviews with everyone involved.

That said, I begin with the most explosive allegation:

Did Michael try to kill Terri?

Wolfson laughs. "No!"

-----

Wolfson's report states that in the four years after her collapse, Michael "had insistently held to the premise that Theresa could recover and the evidence is incontrovertible that he gave his heart and soul to her treatment and care . . . In late autumn of 1990, following months of therapy and testing and formal diagnoses of persistent vegetative state with no evidence of improvement, Michael took Theresa to California, where she received an experimental thalamic stimulator implant in her brain. Michael remained in California caring for Theresa during a period of several months."

Says Wolfson now: "Michael was adoring of her. One nursing home complained he was hostile and abusive of the staff in championing her care. She was immaculately kept. In 13 years, she never had one bedsore."

I wish there would be just one consolidated TS thread with any and all pertinent articles posted.

I do too, especially since I started taking an interest in this case 4 months ago.

they can still receive Christ by affirming their faith in Him through a simple prayer or praying with others.

Beats me. I've attended every church but a Catholic one. Maybe the others will know.

A CAT scan is worthless in diagnosing brain damage because the resolution is not clear enough.

And that is what the diagnosis of PVS and the statement about a missing cortex is based on, is it not?

(Her cortex is gone and in it's place is 2100 ml. of spinal fluid. Not 2101, or 2099, but 2100. Since a true measurement cannot be done, this in itself is very suspicious.)

This case could turn this country on its head. Now that Congress is involved, this will open up the possibility of convicted felons on death row asking to plead their case to Congress because the courts simply refused to listen to their plea.

Maybe, jus maybe, his "fiancee" got an inheritance???

A relative loaned them the money to buy?

Do they actually own the house, or leasing?

Not arguing, just tossing around other possibilities.

If that's a $400,000 home in Florida, I'm amazed. You could pick up something similar in Texas for around $80,000. That is no "luxury" or "executive" home.

That was my first thought, too.

Or how about this: the country deciding that whenever the GOP doesn't like a court ruling in Florida (or anywhere) we just go to court and get it overturned.

Nothing new or shocking? While the wife he's trying to starve to death lies brain-damaged in some hospice? Right, happens a lot; water off a duck's back ... Sheesh.

In the end, your rationale seems to be that breaking vows made under oath and before God and family is no big deal because, oh well, others do it everyday.

He received $300,000 as part of the lawsuit, I believe.

Parents aren't entitled to that money.

They can't get that money anyway, because there's not even a Living Will. The state of Florida is going to get involved, so, it's not over by a long shot.

Why do we even bother? I fear for Michael Schiavo's safety. He's been made the devil and there are those who are just looking for somone to blame the world's ills on. This is a low point for our side.

Do you want to know why? MONEY. The Schindlers were mad they didn't get any.

Please provide some, any supportive documentation that supports this notion.

The Schindler's offered to let Michael KEEP ALL THE MONEY if he would turn guardianship of TERRI over to them.

That FACTUAL OFFER contradicts your unsupported speculation. Can you explain this?
