That was then...this is now.
I very good point. I would say that no the law is not God.
As I mistakenly said to ArmyTeach when I ment to say it to MHGinTN the comparison of Terri's removal of her feeding tube to abortion is a good argumant and has caused me to re think my position.
It seems that I am wrong.
If she was brain dead, I would agree
Though she may have brain damage .. She is NOT brain dead
So, the law is God? If it's legal, it's right? Is that your position.

Flaming is fun only briefly and in the end doesn't get anywhere. With only a few exceptions. ;-)
Thanks for catching it.
Since they pulled the tubes on Terri, I haven't eaten either. I've had a headache all day, and been weak. At least I've had water.
Starving Terri to death is not painless. Her murder is wrong.

He just changes names, faces and tactics.
The agenda remains the same.
What do you guy say about this article?
It answers some questions that I had.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1365979/posts
Do you think this guy is lying when he says that she never made eye contact with him or with her parents when he was present?
And if you think he is lying what do think his motive might be?
Sounds like an Annova story.
This is about the chemistry that one lone person may or may not have had with Terri.
I think Larry King doubts the information at hand. And a lot of doctors also doubt that Terri actually cried. Its hard to figure what the actual truth is...and thats the trouble with this entire case. I think both sides have fib'ed enough, that you can't be sure of what the truth really is.
Chemistry?
The one person that could actually help Terri and she plays the vegetable just to spite him?
Or because she doesn't hit it off with him?
Or the people at hospice drug her so she can respond because they want her dead?
Or her husband or someone working for him come in and drug her so she can't respond?
I can't make any sense of this.
Are you saying whe is going to risk having her feeding tube removed thus risk her life because whe doesn't like this guy?
And this seems like a reasonable explaination to you?
In her current condition she probably can't reason about "feeding tube" but she can feel and emote.
During Wolfson's investigations, Terri didn't get any significant therapy, at hino's wishes. He was stuck with putting her in a basket then concluding she was a vegetable.
Since she cannot testify to what she said then, her husband's statement is hearsay. Normally hearsay is not admissible as evidence. There are exceptions but the closest that I can find to allowing the hearsay as evidence is the following.
First the definition.
c) "Hearsay" is a statement, other than one made by the declarant while testifying at the trial or hearing, offered in evidence to prove the truth of the matter asserted.
Now the rule.
90.802 Hearsay rule.--Except as provided by statute, hearsay evidence is inadmissible.
Now the closest exception.
4) STATEMENTS FOR PURPOSES OF MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS OR TREATMENT.--Statements made for purposes of medical diagnosis or treatment by a person seeking the diagnosis or treatment, or made by an individual who has knowledge of the facts and is legally responsible for the person who is unable to communicate the facts, which statements describe medical history, past or present symptoms, pain, or sensations, or the inceptions or general character of the cause or external source thereof, insofar as reasonably pertinent to diagnosis or treatment.
Nothing there about wishes or desires so the hearsay is inadmissable.
FYI-Hannity & Colmes replaying now.
There is a thread stating that Terri just today said she wanted to live when she was told her feeding tube was going to be removed.
Did she get some significant therapy since the time Wolfson was her guardian ad litem?
I thought Michael didn't allow her to get any care.
She's been prayed for -- who knows what has been happening in the supernatural world. She apparently can grok "die".
