We don't know who should do what. Meanwhile, an innocent, cognizant, nonterminal woman's life slowly drains away.

Someone must act at the state or federal level. If a private citizen acts, it will be illegal. A backwater judge in a FLA district court cannot have authority over the elected United States Congress... can he?

If Terri dies this time, we get a legal precedent - one over which many have been salivating. Who's their next victim? Which group will be targeted next?

Precedent-- exactly my worry. People who expect the President to step outside of his constitutional powers to act are urging the creation of a precedent-- a precedent dangerous to our entire nation and many more people than just one or a few.
In this case, someone below the level of President can act or the President can act within his powers.
