I hope the more colorful Schiavo defenders on this forum are never faced with the decision between themeslves and their siblings at having to have to remove a feeding tube from an ailing parent at some point in their lives.

There is a difference between removing life support and a feeding tube. No I would not have left my parents starve to death. I would not let them starve to death my husband or son. I have worked in both psych and a nursing homes. If I had treated any of my patients the way Terri has been treated I would be held both civilly and criminally liable. I would would deserve any punishment meted out to me.

Been there , done that.

Both in my professional life and in my personal life.

There is one heck of a difference in withdrawing exceptional treatment from someone who is in the process of dying and withdrawing food and fluids from someone with a healthy body.

Unlike you we can tell the difference between homicide (active or negligent) and Do Not Rescuscitate orders.

I find it odd that the proven idiot libs are the ones you "Michael Schiavo defenders" are finding on your side of the line.

"Schiavo defenders"? What a strange way to phrase it. They're both Shiavos. Did you mean Terri?

Re. it being a "tough decision," for most of us, there is a pretty simple solution: a living will.
