We can surmise he is an amnesiac, too, from the way he 'suddenly' remembered Terri didn't want to be kept alive in her condition.. after he won her lawsuit.
Maybe that is the new cure for amnesia -- winning a lawsuit.
Doctor to amnesia patient: "Win one lawsuit and call me in the morning."

I agree, bears repeating, again and again, even if he succeeds in ending her life this time. I'd call him more of a sociopath, but a sicko just the same. And the lawsuit money? Let's not forget he vowed to use the lawsuit money to help fund her rehab, regardless of whether or not Terri 'woke up'. I, too, think Michael is afraid of what she might remember or say, although even if she did wake up, so to speak, it's hard to say how much she would remember after 15 years or if she would be taken seriously, given the time that's gone by. I think he's hiding something. He has denied Terri even the most rudimentary care given to those in her condition, like physical therapy, which should be a crime in itself. And I wonder why a Nobel prize winning doctor can announce that he feels he could still help Terri after all this time of effectively no treatment, and has successfully rehabilitated patients much worse off, that the powers that be, that can make the decisions like Judge Greer and Mr. Schiavo, turn a deaf ear. It's suspicious, at best.
I guess we may never know. What a sad day.
