Greer gives order
When all is sorted out within the coming weeks, it will be determined that Congress has no authority in this case and that it was a blatant abuse of power to attempt to intervene.
As far as arresting Greer, Congress COULD hold him in contempt of Congress. Actually that's funny because I think the natural state is for most Americans to be in "Contempt of Congress". LOL!
Judge Green doesn't seem to think so. Nor do the ghouls among us who agree with him.
Using a feeding tube to receive artifical nutrients and water is a medical procedure. The courts have found "clear and convincing evidence" that Terri does not want to live like a house plant.
I went to school with a Christian Scientist guy who died after refusing medical treatment for his ailment. That was not euthanasia, not here in Florida, not anywhere in the US.
By my lights, it is certainly an execution: intentionally starving someone to death is a cruel death indeed.
It's not a lawful execution, as far as I can see, since the lady was not convicted of any crime, and she has had no opportunity to appeal her non-existent conviction. Even if she were a bloody-handed murderer like Ted Bundy, she would be executed in a far less cruel fashion.
As others have pointed out, try starving your pets or your livestock, and you may end up with a felony charge and conviction depending on what state you live in.
CNN is reporting that the doctors are preparing Terri to remove the feeding tube.
BTTT
Thanks for the live feed link. I'm watching it evey so often and the crowd seems to be getting bigger and bigger! I hope it grows and they stop anyone from going in there to take her feeding tube out!
I don't want to be shallow here. But, you know what I've been noticing today? Terri Schiavo was an absolutely lovely woman when she was younger and before she was put through all of this by her husband. What is he thinking?
So she shall not die, of course she shall live. When you read my posts on this thread you realize that I changed from a slight understanding for the removing of the feeding tubes to opposition.
>If that is the case, how can they justify removing the tube? The justification is that she stated to her hubby that she wouldn't want to live like that. This is contrary to that statement. How can this possibly be overlooked?<
I will bet dollars to donuts Greer will ignore this, just as he's ignored everything else.
Greer has GOT to be taken off this case.
Ohh... she SAID on account of her highly questionable, duplicitous husband.
Well, its settled. Lets go kill her right now! How about pulling a trigger on her. Wouldn't that be MORE humane?
What is wrong with you people?(the pro-death activists)
I wouldn't have a care in the world if there was a written statement.
I would let your mother lay in bed for 15 years. See, I am a Terri fan. We let women lay in bed for 15 years, eating through a tube. We like this.
A fellow Texan here! I was so saddened to hear that the judge ordered the feeding tube removal, but then it hit me! This could be God's way of getting Terri out of that place and into a safe place where Michael can't hurt her before next week? I say, "Cowboy up Mr. B and get in there and rescue her!"
I am of the opinion that they can do that. The only recourse would be to impeach Gov Bush, and the Republican house in Florida will not do that. The same holds true for the President. The problem is we have Executives that lack fortitude.
Only problem with your theory - some of the trolls are long standing members of FR.... they just rejoice in death and are too lazy to actually read the threads they post to.
Writing it now. Gimme a few minutes.
"Folks seem to think that if Terri had a cerebral cortex, she would be asking to live. Personally, after 15 years, I would be begging to die."
Speak for yourself, not for Terri.

Terri Schiavo wants to live
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35083
Terri Schindler-Schiavo does not want to die. She would like to go home. And
she tried to convey this to her father in no uncertain terms by sitting bolt
upright and trying to get out of her chair when told she might be killed,
her family has revealed.
The stunning news was released yesterday afternoon by Terri's father, Robert
Schindler, at the 'round-the-clock vigil outside the Woodside Hospice
facility in Pinellas Park, Fla., where his daughter's court-ordered death by
starvation is scheduled to begin today at 2 p.m. Eastern. At that time, her
husband and legal guardian Michael Schiavo is scheduled to give the order to
disconnect the 39-year-old brain-disabled woman's feeding tube that has
provided her with sustenance for the past 13 years.
In an interview a few hours earlier, Schindler described the incident to
WorldNetDaily. He said he was holding a cell phone to Terri's ear as she
listened intently to the speaker, propped in her jerry-chair at about a
30-degree angle. Suddenly she sat up straight and tried to get out of her
chair, despite her weak legs and muscles that were slack from lack of
exercise.
His daughter's response stunned Schindler, who grabbed the phone and asked,
"My God, what did you tell her?"
The speaker said he had warned, "If you don't get up and get out of there,
you're going to die there."
(article from 2003, the last time they tried to kill her.)
Of course he wouldn't. He'd kill her outright.
