"Just following orders" didn't work as a defense when Nazi's were tried....

Well, even the self-called greatest country on earth has its faults. And this situtation is surely not one the greatest moments of the American society. I continue to say that your judicial system needs a reform.

"Can Bush issue an Executive Order mandating that the poor lady be fed?" I'm not sure he can. Maybe a lawyer is able to answer that. I would think he can. An executive order is just that, an order by the president. I surmise this order can be almost anything except an illegal act. The question is: Is the order to let someone live an illegal act? I don't think so. If the President or the Governor can legally issue such an order and they fail to do so, their political careers, IMO, are over. Hoping and praying for a miracle. I doubt it. An executive order generally has to do with the policies and procedures of the federal government; e.g. who the gov can contract with, how FBI agents dress, etc. I would assume the hospice that Terri resides at recieves some federal money. If that's the case, Bush could creatively word an executive order keeping her alive. However, it would only be a temporary measure as I am almost certain Michael Schiavo's lawyers would have it struck down by a court.

If "Judge" Greer isn't impeached after thumbing his nose at a congressional subpoena, I don't know what it would take. Congress can't impeach a state judge.

Charge "JUDGE" GREER with Attempted Murder NOW! No man is above the Law, especially a Judge. Take Terri into Protective Custody this very second.

Hey, that's OK. The doctor that was on DaySide earlier said they put lip balm on her lips to stop the cracking, so she'll be perfectly comfortable while she dehydrates.

Are they going to announce when this is done? Is there any chance of stopping it. THe docs wanted my mom to do this to her mother, and she refused. THere is a difference between letting someone die and STARVING THEM TO DEATH!! She did eventually pass away in peace.
Oh, how I hope something can be done. I really feel for the parents.

I wonder how these more colorful defenders will feel when their "guardians" decide to pull their tube so they can get their inheritance more quickly.
